where’s your palm tree, Greek bust, Fuji water decal, print of a Windows 95 MS Paint window and 3D text saying “i am sad”, you’re halfway to a vapor家

The palm trees are outdoors, so there's that.

One nice thing about these lights is that they're a lot less expensive to run; the Hue that replaced the can light in the dining room yesterday is a whole 6W, while the original was 65...

Finally I can pester people less about their lights being left on all the time

Yeah, our LIFX lights are a lot less expensive to run. I think they are brighter than the Hue, but still more efficient than regular lighting at 11W.

I also like that I can turn the lights off from bed. My husband used to just go to bed and leave all the lights in the house on…

I can do that, but from outside the house, too! The future is now.

I think that a lower wattage also helps with heat issues, since any decrease in that is a godsend, especially given how hot it's going to be in a few months...

I can do it from outside the house, but it always freaks out the people who are there at the time…

OH OH ESPECIALLY MY MOTHER IN LAW

It also freaked me out that one time I was showing someone the app and then couldn't figure out why all the lights were purple when I got home.

I'm going to try opening the blinds a little (so more light shows through) and then figuring out a way to get all the bulbs to start cycling; a rainbow through the windows, if you will.

Setting them all red is already kind of interesting

So the green light I had on my room just stopped working yesterday, so I guess I'm back to using the yellow one for now. It isn't as bad as I thought actually, it's a nice shade of yellow.
