I've been trying to get back into reading. I recently bought a Kindle and with it a few books; the first one I read through was Innumeracy, which (while good) wasn't the one I remembered. It's largely about how people tend to not understand basic numbers, probabilities, and other things, with some nice examples.
More recently is the new-release Fire and Fury, a book about the US's awful president and how much of a fuckup he and his team is. It's... pretty amazing, but quite a bit is stuff I already knew just from following the news around the time. Also up next on the reading list are Alex Zandra's I Asked For Squid Maids But I Didn't Know I'd Become One! and My Friends And I Were Granted Three Wishes By A Cat Goddess And I Swear I Got Distracted When My Turn Came Around (the latter one first, most likely). I actually tried to start them, but the paragraph formatting is non-standard and doesn't break when different characters talk, so it feels really... cluttered? Dense? One of those. And I also learned that apparently I can put manga on the kindle so Reading is an expensive hobby...Edit: I also have this queued up at some point, which I forgot about until checking the 'where did my money go again' section on Amazon ____________________ (Lv 239 with 212480243 EXP) |

Reading is an expensive hobby...
It's too hard to focus otherwise, with so much else wanting my attention.
