i looked out my window and the sky is this bizarre ominous grey/brown color.
i'm from missouri, originally, i've never lived in a state where wildfires might be a thing, so my instinct is that this looks like tornado weather. but that wouldn't make any sense because out the other window everything is extremely clear, like just a pleasant fall day, and the weather doesn't seem to show any signs of anything even remotely precipitation-related, let alone storms...
we've had... a lot of strangely colored, smoky skies lately. a few weeks ago, we had a bunch of ashy tree pulp all over cars and stuff and the whole sky was this orangey color. there does happen to be a massive, massive wildfire burning north of here, so that could be related, but it's pretty far north. it could also just be from a smaller-extent fire, or something.
it's kinda scary. at the very least, it's a reminder that things are extremely, incredibly fucked up, if not here, then elsewhere.
