Whew, I just took one in absolute darkness (no lights from under the door), and man was that wicked and stange. Even though there were no lights, it felt like I could see a just a little bit. Technically though there was a tiny LED on my laptop from it charging, but it was insignificant and slightly covered up. When I turned on the lights it was almost like I snapped back to reality.

Wait what it isn’t even frosted/bubbly glass or anything?!!!

My bathrooms have always had windows, but it’s not the kind of glass you can see anything through.

The master bathroom in my parents' place had a non-privacy window right above the jacuzzi/bathtub, such that standing up to get out would put you on full display to our next door neighbors.

I can't remember that bathtub ever getting used. Everyone just used the shower.

Gonna try it I think. A bath in the dark would probably be nicer, though.

That's the kind of effect I mean. Glad it seemed to work out for you.

In sufficient darkness, your eyes can adjust to seeing very dim light. But I mean it has to be basically pitch black for an extended period of time, and any significant amount of light is usually enough to break it.

I've showered in the dark maybe once, when the power went out when I had shampoo already in my hair.

Other than that.... No?

I've been tempted to coz it sounds very soothing, but I go to boarding school now so that doesn't really work.

Remind me to do this the next time and just bring along a flashlight (phone in reality).

You all are nuts. :p

I basically need to shower with the lights on. If its morning, I wait for my eyes to adjust to natural light, but I mostly shower in the evening, with the bathroom light on. If the power's out, too bad.

I am a very clumsy person if I can't see a thing, and I fear having an accident if I try to shower blind.

I've showered a few times since the start of this thread in as dark as the bathroom can be. There is a street light placed such that it shines light directly across our bathroom, so it doesn't get particularly dark. I do prefer lights off now.

I've remembered and tried it but didn't expect my eyes to adjust from a slight creak of light into pretty much full vision. Gonna try at night, I guess.
