well with it came Mario's Tennis (of course), Wario Land, Teleroboxer, Red Alarm, and Golf.
And since that post, I've gotten Vertical Force and Panic Bomber, and am looking for Mario Clash to come in any day. :p

I'm not looking to collect every single game, just the ones that interest me most. That and maybe a flash cart, so that when the day finally comes that someone writes a competent music tool for VB, I can export that music and play it off of hardware (...gosh, a girl sure can dream)

Get a look at Space Squash, it's a lot of fun, even if only a .jp release.

About Sound on VB, you may be better of with a PC Engine. About the same capabilities, but way more support.

But I wouldn't mind some great tunes to listen on the VB.

Space Squash is rather interesting, I might just get it >.>
also yeah, I dabble in PCE a bit (it's pretty nice tbh) but it's just not the saaamme, I'm a bit of a stickler for being able to use the actual thing with all of its unique quirks heh

I got a whole bunch of NES and Famicom games. I'll make a post about it in my collection thread in Gaming probably tomorrow (as it's getting a wee late and I have to get up at 4:30 AM. ), but here's a little something that I've been dying to share here;

Oh hey what are these?

These two minor little things somehow slipped into the package somehow...

I got another handful of colored IoT lights, for the living room fan this time. It's actually really bright in there with them all on, which is nice, since before that it was... pretty dim. Might be able to make them turn on automatically when we get home, too, so nobody has to stumble around trying to find the light switch when we get home from a late-night excursion around town

I also bought an ebook, but I have no idea when I'll get around to reading it.

I massdropped myself a CST L-TRAC (an all-black ambidextrous laser trackball) because I'm extremely irresponsible. I can't resist angular, monochrome, overbuilt computer hardware, I guess.

I bought a mechanical keyboard, a Corsair K68 and I absolutely love how loud and heavy this thing is. I also kinda like that it lights up if I want it to.

I got a copy of The Very Hungry Caterpillar. It's cute, I like it. I remember liking it as a kid too.

I really envy this part:

A day of unexpected stuff...

Various PC parts from my dad for free - I had only asked if he had one decent PCI soundcard I could have, instead I ended up with a bunch of stuff to try out, see if it worked, etc.

Then, a copy of Mario Kart Double Dash from a friend for free - he got it from an acquaintance for 1 (!!) Euro, basically for me since he doesn't have a GameCube or Wii.

Then, a Toshiba Tecra 8000 laptop with PSU, mouse, combined PCMCIA modem and ethernet card, and some cables - found for 5 Euro at an outdoor flea market, at a stall from some household clearance company or whatever; guess "estate sale" would be the closest description, just not at the actual estate?

The Toshiba was the nicest of these unexpected things, I guess, not least because it's overall in very nice shape, the slightly iffy original 6 GB HDD aside. I've swapped in the SD-to-IDE adapter and SD card I had put into the Highscreen laptop I got back in May (as that one's glitchy display issues have sadly returned in full force...) and it all works like a charm~

(Side note: It's been, like, 20 years since I've last used a three-button mouse, vs a two-button one or a wheel mouse - and it was this exact model, too, I believe!)

I have that same Logitech mouse (and a PS2 to Serial adapter to go with it!)

It's definitely my favorite mouse, and it's great for Plan 9 (which greatly benefits from a 3-button mouse)

eyetoy and games

I got a Playstation 2 Eyetoy and a stack of games for $15 on ebay. I mostly did it for the SEGA game; it has a load of minigames based on early-2000s SEGA franchises. You can dance on Ulala's Swingin' Report Show, insert yourself into a Virtua Fight, sort falling Puyos based on color by waving your arms around, fly with NiGHTS by using your arms as wings, etc. Somehow Nintendo got credit for starting the motion-control phase even though this awesomeness predates the Wii by three years ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
