The game-breaking bugs thread inspired me to do this.

I remember a particular bug in that old Mac puzzle game, Blobbo Lite.

The game allows undoing the last action, or maybe last few.

When you go through the level exit, you're taken to the next level. You can undo this action and you're taken back to the previous level.

If you go through the exit again, you're taken to the level after the next level.

I would abuse it to skip level 7. I had managed to complete all the levels, except that one. In retrospect, level 7 isn't that hard, but there's a variety of things in there that require some planning to get right.

All the 25 levels in the game

In a more modern era, we have all those glitches in Minecraft. You know, those Mojang spends its time and energy fixing instead of fixing, say, the lighting bugs. I remember building water ladders on someone's server back in the days where that worked.

The administration (as well as a few users) have decided that you're creepy/weird enough that it's time to activate the sploded clause.

Mouse Maze mini-games (in flash games...):
right-click > click again

some flash games:
right-click > forward
(also sometimes useful to make them start when they fail to)

Hack, Slash, Crawl:
Apparently, has an equipment glitch which allows stuff to be equipped where it shouldn't. Useful for stacking the bonus of lucky fish, why having an actual WEAPON.

Radioactive Teddy Bear Zombies:
switch weapons before/right after death, I use it all the time, because I DO NOT WANT TO LOSE THE ROCKET LAUNCHER, IT'S HARD TO GET BACK.

Zelda 1 have quite a few that I generally use. Since weapon hitboxes have priority, stabbing up/down as a darknut walks into you causes it to take damage first, and while it's taking damage it can't hit you. Not a bug per say I suppose, but clearly a very unintended way to fight them. There's the first key door skip in level 1 that also comes up.

heh, for a while Minecraft had a similar glitch in that you could switch tools while breaking a block

which could be abused to break stone fast without damaging your pickaxe

but now, doing so resets the block's damage counter. heh

IDK if it's still there, but Etho uses a trick in his mob farms to avoid breaking enchanted swords, while still retaining their bonuses!

Pokemon Stadium 2:

  • Suspend any match

  • Lose any match while having at least one continue

  • Suspend again

  • When warned that you already have a previous suspended match, choose continue without suspending

  • You return to the match you lost without using a continue

I think I discovered that on my own back in the day. Easy infinite continues exploit.
