The Acmlm board wiki has launched. You can check it out here. I need all the help I can get in making this a complete encyclopedia on Acmlm boards and derived software. Let this place serve as a learning tool not just for future generations interested in the Acmlm software but also for developers majoring in this kind of stuff in college.

Nothing personal, but I don't think that anybody is going to really care about something like this, especially not for anybody in college. Learning anything from this project would be an unmitigated disaster.

I know but IF Acmlm boarding becomes a college subject in the future then this could be useful but this is mostly something I'm doing in my free time.

The chances of this happening are literally zero. Like, if you want to do it for yourself, that's fine, but don't even try and pretend that this will be taken seriously, ever, even in an alternate universe.

It will obviously never be something like a college subject or the like, but I'm wondering if maybe there is some merit to making this wiki a record of the History of Acmlm boards. Similar to your blog post from a while back, would it be possible to make this a sort of community curated record of the history of the board?

Some oldbies still seem to be around in some capacity, and Acmlmboard history does seem to have some interest in it...

there was an Acmlmboard wiki at some point, I know there was an archive of it on the board2 server but it seems to be gone (or I forgot the URL)

The old "Acmlmboard Wiki" is much better forgotten.

If you believe Acmlmboard developer documentation is lacking in some area, I guess it makes sense with enough effort. Never got that far myself. My own dead wiki had brief tidbits about Acmlmboards.

Acmlmboard developer documentation would be better served by better formatting and better documentation in the code repo than a wiki, to be honest. Not that most people know much about the code compared to, say, me
