I dunno, I find it kind of embarrassing now. It's not necessarily that I dislike the memes either. Well, some more than others perhaps. It's… somehow all together like that, and the way I used to draw and… the sum of all the parts seems to equal embarrassment for me.

Somehow (and I'm pretty sure it's the concentration of old memes) that piece embarrasses me more than most. The art itself is fairly representative of what I was capable of back in 2008, at least when it came to "chibi" stuff.

I'm not as embarrassed, for example, of this picture I did for you in September 2003:



There are at least six million things I would fix about it, but I'm not as embarrassed by it. But yes, I think all creators are embarrassed by their old work. I'm even embarrassed by things I made recently!

Got some nice stuff, there.

I also see the two characters I guessed of those portraits you showed earlier were right (Oh yeah, didn't mention that...I did have an idea of two of them) I'd be more specific, but why ruin the surprise for anyone else?

I should be off to bed soon.
Actually have a meeting to be to tomorrow.
I am a volunteer for a service club, and a board member of a local charity event.
I don't mind, but yeah...
I'd be more specific, but that could break my anonymity, despite I've been playing with the idea of dropping a certain amount, anyways...

Haha, wow, this is super cryptic! Thanks for checking out my blog, it's nice to hear you liked it! I agree… I think some of the stuff there is nice. And some of it isn't, but that's part of learning. You gotta get all the crap art out before you can make the good art (and even then there's still more crap art).

Hopefully there'll be more art from me at some point. But with the baby coming this week (one way or another), it'll probably be a while before I can draw again. I hear they take over everything.

I have a pretty low bar for "crap", I didn't see a whole lot that met it
But yes, this is true. I think I went the opposite way, I made some great stuff, particularly while in high school... Now I can't even come-up with a good doodle, and just... awful...

In some cases, this applies to the entire family.
Can't remember if I mentioned this, but I became an uncle at the end of my Freshman year of high school. Has impacted me, and still does. (Ofc, I apparently do not have the right to say this because it's impossible for me to have any plans, I'm lazy and sit around all day)

Aww, thanks! Well… Folioscope is pretty basic, but it’s easy to use. It has onionskins for frames before and afterwards, to make things easier. You can duplicate frames, but I found I liked the effect better if I redrew everything each time. It’s definitely not software for a serious animator, but it’s fun to dick about in.

I should have it open its eyes up more as the coffee goes down but that means I'd need to draw more frames… and possibly even draw the coffee cup getting refilled.

Thanks! And yeah, if I go barefoot the skin on my heels will split and bleed. :/ I'm kind of amazed I'm getting away with wearing sandals even.
