Do you consider yourself a furry? 'w'

Also, would you like to get snuggles on IRC?

Tetris 2 is the Game Boy game I grew up with, and I often spent long periods of time with my old brick stuck to my ear with this music:

The diamond used on the high score screen also seems to have been the origin of the "emblem" I have.

Link's Awakening is, of course, my all-time favorite game. I have a lot of memories playing it and trying to explore it to the utmost; I assume that my fascination with dreams versus reality comes from it. (After all, Koholint is nothing but a dream, but it is an entire world.)

Disgaea, of course, fueled my current appearance, at least outside of Jul (where Genis appears to have just taken that spot forever out of laziness). The story of the first game had some impact, too.

There is a comic that I cannot link that had a nice short sequence of hypnosis; just someone being brought to relax and letting their mental self sink into a spring. That is another one that I can credit with having some impact on me.

Hmm...

I do not think there is much else in the way of comics. Music does not have much of an impact on me personally, outside of the times I listen to it; some songs fit some moods better than others, but it is not really easy to describe them.

This post seemed to be more challenging to write than I thought it was, and I feel like I missed something.

I do not, at all. That is not to say that I dislike them, just that I do not consider myself to be one.

I recall you having a dream log at some point.

Do you still have very many interesting dreams, and if so, have you ever considered resuming such a log?

(side note: I've sometimes debated starting something sort of similar. I remember having more memorable, more vivid dreams in the past, while now I'll mostly just jot down quick summaries. (and even then, some dreams are particularly memorable in comparison to others, and get more of a summary.)

I've thought about it, but it just hasn't been practical with needing to get ready for work (and barely being able to wake up most nights as it is). I also don't have too interesting of dreams.

Last night is probably one of the more "interesting" ones, but it was about work

Why did you like to kickban me so much back in like 2005? Where is Derpa now? Remember that time I was a piece of shit and Radmin shutdown your PC because it had an absurd uptime and I was jealous? Why didn't you just let me figure out what the flower was for you fucker

For the laughs. (I don't think the bans were very long, though?)

Where is Derpa now?

I don't know. We have a bunch of random plushies here, but I haven't seen the original. I think he's currently suffering with the rest of BMF's stuff in his bedroom, though.

I was actually thinking earlier today about the time when someone used a weak password on an FTP server running on my laptop to remove ntldr and delete a bunch of Acmlmboard-related files. I'd take a simple shutdown over that any day, though for what it's worth Windows 10 seems to do that automatically now

(On a side note, I'm surprised that Radmin apparently still exists.)

Comedy, of course. Maybe some day we'll have to play Kirby's Dream Land 3 again, but I imagine that two-player might not be such a goo-d idea.

What did Lameboard look like, was it Acmlmboardy or entirely different?

It looked like Acmlmboard. It was coded worse, though; it was before I knew much about handling databases properly. (And when I say "worse", I actually mean it.)

There were a few other variants (anyone remember "Jul X"?), but ultimately I just settled on fixing this one and rolling with it. Too much effort, not enough reward.

E: For what it's worth, the color scheme was lights on dark grays and I think reddish-orange for highlights.

Remember that time a while ago when you, me, and BMF all did voice Skype chat and watched MK-rip-off game fatality demos on YouTube?

That was a hoot. We oughta do cool shit like that again.

I agree. I guess that wasn't much of a question, though.

I've been meaning to write something like this for many months, but only now got around to it. Nobody has really asked about it in this thread, but if you want to know more about me, maybe you will find it interesting.

It is a little long.

You are asking a really difficult question, because so many of them are great.

It's long, but also quite informative and doesn't seem to have a lot of redundancy. I'd say it was a pretty interesting read, and well worth it.

For some reason, I thought that the Disgaea warrior avatar was from Makai Kingdom. Which is sad because I own both games.

Sorry, I don't have a question as I'm scared I'll ask something that's already been answered and I've yet to comb through this thread.

I'm pretty sure I've used something from Makai Kingdom before. If not, then, welp. It's still a really good game.

My main (first) character in it was a healer, though.

What's your favourite game that isn't Link's Awakening, and why?
Xkeeper

That's actually tough, because I don't really have a second one.

Tetris is, of course, a top contender; but I mostly play that for fun sporadically. It's not really a favorite, and it makes my eyes hurt, so... I don't think this is it.

Faria is one of those games I had a mild obsession with... but it's not a good game at all, and I haven't found the heart to play it again.

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past is a good game, too, but nowhere near as good as Link's Awakening... The graphics are poor, mostly due to reserving layer 2 on the overworld for the rain effect of all things. The dungeon design is just boring and bland in a lot of places; whoever thought that Swamp Palace should have the same J-shape room three times with slight differences should probably be smacked.

It's a tough decision, but Journey might have to take the #2 spot. While it's not really a game you can go back and play more than once... it was certainly an experience; it's a game I haven't really been able to find an analogue of for a while. It's designed and plays so well that it really feels like less of a game and more of a story, and a very good one at that.

I'm still not entirely satisfied with this answer, but I can't think of anything else. Picross and stuff like Disgaea 5 are good games, but they're not favorites.

Though if you went by my Steam history, maybe You Need A Budget 4 would be the top of that list (even if it isn't a game)

Edit: Oh, right. Famicom Detective Club Part II (SNES, fan translation) might actually be the second favorite; it resonated with me a lot when I first played it, and I still remember it fondly.

Somewhat unsurprisingly, the top games I enjoy all seem to be ones that you can really only experience fully one time. Link's Awakening has the surprise twist halfway through; Journey itself is a deep, engaging story of mystery; and Famicom Detective Club P.II is, of course, a mystery, too.

Hmm...

If you could easily relocate to another country with a job secured for you, which one (ones) would you prefer?

Random question that took me five seconds to think up.
