So not too long ago I got Chip & Dale: Rescue Rangers 2 for $165! Good deal on that one.

Now this month is a HORDE OF GAMES COMING IN.

Thanks to Gabu, I got Bram Stoker's Dracula and Ms. Pac-Man on stand-by (which will be paid for as soon as I get my checks, I swear. ). I also today picked up Athletic World (with manual!) for $6 at a used stuff store chain by chance for $6. My copy of Holy Diver should also be in the mail too! 4 games so far!

Plus my longtime collector pally of mine gave me a really good deal ($450) for 25 games I don't already have yet, consisting of:

Let's make that an even thirty then!

Package should be coming tomorrow with the big loot. I also got the Holy Diver now, so that's a great bonus!

Once I get everything, the count should be 646. I still have $10 in credit in a used game store so if I find something there that's cheap, I can do that.

Ending the year at 650 games should be a cinch.

Well I got really lucky today and found Moon Ranger for $110 on eBay just kind of checking the listings.

That's about $60 less than my asking price, AND it comes with manual! I doubt I was going to find it go that low again (especially where it's been going around the $180 mark at least), so get it I did.

That'll be Game #647. I highly doubt Racermate and Secret Scout are going to go down that easily though. Will probably look to tackle those next year though.

I ALMOST got you Holy Diver from the local indy videogame store, but given what I was seeing it looked like a reproduction copy (most certainly don't recall any NES cart being black), so I held off. Thank goodness, amirite? (Also, they were asking for at least $80)

Yeah it was very, very likely a repro copy. The officially licensed copy that I got from CastleMania games is actually white! I'll have to post a picture of that sometime. Been having some weirdness lately with collection sites.

Also despite me saying that I'm taking a break, somehow a FUCKING STUPID CRAZY deal popped up for RacerMate Challenge II and I maaaaaay have put in a bid that may net me the game, one of the adapters, and a top-loader NES all for $99.

If I happen to get sickeningly lucky like this, does anyone wanna buy a top loader from me? ;; (REJECTED! Oh well.)

I decided to go for a few cheap games to round myself up to the 650 mark! Ordered Ultima: Quest of the Avatar and Joust. Then I put in an offer for Desert Commander, so once I get 650, I'm gonna take a little break for a few months because I need to bump myself up back a little more financially after last month.

RacerMate is going to be a thing I buy once I get my tax return. So I'm gonna keep my eye on that one a bit and see where that goes. So that one is kind of...on the top but not unless I get a really sick deal I can't say no to.

I'm still gonna keep my eye on prices though, as I can have a bartering baseline for, since I'm not exactly rich person! I'm starting to keep it for every game now, since I only have about 100 more left to go (103, to be precise).

And with that, I'm gonna make sure I do a bang-up job with 2019! The goal by the end of 2019 is to get to 700 or more.

(EDIT: Just got Desert Commander! Whoo!)

So on a whim I managed to get Superman and The Punisher back a couple of months ago, bringing the total amount of games I need down to 99! UNDER 100! That was incredible enough!

I managed to get Lode Runner as a Christmas present from a buddy of mine, making it 98 to go.

And I managed to get juuuuuuust enough Christmas Money to cover Racermate Challenge II on an offer (I usually at least try to knock their price down to get free shipping), so I paid $250 for Racermate and a couple of components for it. SWEET! So that's 97 to go now!

I got another $50 coming in the mail next week, which is going to go toward my next big purchase, Menace Beach! Either that or Sunday Funday is going to be taken care of via tax return, so the top three ones I know are expensive for a fact are going to get taken care of with more ease than I thought. The real tricky thing is getting the other $175-200 for Menace Beach, but if I can manage to somehow get Bonk's Adventure on less money than I'm making now, I can figure out these.

Balderdash you got Lode Runner though, they happened to have that.

And double balderdash, I also want Boulder Dash.

Edit: Snagged Rocketeer, Legend of the Diamond, and Harlem Globetrotters in-box. Will look at the carts themselves when I get home, but since the boxes are fairly pristine after 30-so years, things are looking good.

Edit 2: All carts are in pristine condition, and have extra goodies inside! All for a little over $50.

It is. That place is cool and I've been stopping by there on a weekly basis the past few months to check out pretty much everything besides their board games/PS2+/any XBox games. Managed to snag a copy of Starfox Zero with Guard for $10 there.

I swear though their retro console case is going to tempt me one of these days.

Also their mini video game museum is just neat to look at.

Admittedly been sorta trying to delay it anyway as I got like, three conventions to go to in the next 60 days to do my NES panels at and I'm trying to save money. I apologize, having lack of rent payments for a bit from my roomie gave me a hard bank account scare. x.o

If it sounds like I'm living high off the hog going to a ton of conventions, I'm not. One is a local one so I just drive to it and have no futher costs, one's just in Boston, and the other's in Atlanta where I have free crash space and a free flight.
