I set it for myself, at least for the duration of December.

You should too! (Re)Live the Jul Christmas experience!

Oh right I did that banner.

And by that I mean did some quick text effect and painted snow and called it a day.

Good times.

Well, technically this is the first time I'm using the theme so I won't be "reliving the Jul Christmas experience". Everything looks so different...but it's actually kinda nice, so I figured, why not go one step further?

Well, I went for it and yay for trying a theme I've never used before.

I've been kinda used to completely blue themes (and my layout follows this) so this is... different. It's giving me a more "classic" vibe if I have to say something.

This theme (mostly) dates back to early Acmlm's Board days, though I did fix a minor bug with the headers. The original version didn't actually have the blue header background set properly.

I love it. The background is a dark blue with white spots, like a winterstorm. But the inner colors are a soft red and green, making it feel very cozy.
It's pretty atmospheric.

Well, I figured.

On a different note, my layout's background doesn't seem to clash with the theme, so it's all fine for now. Now, if only I had the patience to go through the mess of my CSS to make a proper Christmas layout.

Oh hey, thanks for the idea.

This is the nice thing about having a simple layout code, you can easily change it during special events!

Actually for changing the background it's all matter of replacing the background picture ,
but then I'd have to come up with different colors for all the elements (especially for the linear gradients).
It's not really hard but I'm way too lazy about touching this CSS.

I kind of did it the (somewhat) lazy way by using W3School's color editor. I just change the color's hue/brightness values, and there we go, but I guess when you have that much CSS it's kind of problematic to go change it all. I just changed it because I had nothing else to do except for trying to figure out more Paper Mario stuff, don't tell anyone.

Oh, and since it's apparently your birthday Schezo, Happy Birthday!

I always used this tool to generate gradients on the W3C way. For what I have I'd probably be better off using an external CSS file, but good luck with that. I don't use any hosting service so the CSS has to stay inline and welp. (then again it's better than the CSS file disappearing out of nowhere with the free hosts).

Oh my god, I forgot about this banner.

Hell, I miss some of the old banners. How long have we been using the triangles, again, anyway?

Since at least 2008 according to the Web Archive (although it looks like it has only been in use "permanently" since 2009).

I really like this old banner for whatever reason:
