I'm.. not sure why leaving comments forces you to star a level. There are levels where I only want to comment, but not leave a star...

[decent, nothing much going on here but nothing bad either]

"SMB 1-3 (SMW)" - 66C4-0000-0013-1FAE
[I left a star here--pretty solid recreation, still fun to play!]

"Donut Challenge 1" - C7DC-0000-0017-8A9F
[my ingame comment forced a star which I didn't want to happen... the level's pretty busy for an autoscroller of such a high speed (meaning that for something to move real fast through, there's a bunch of things that are counterintuitive to this idea) and having nearly no warmup/safe zone at the start is a bummer.]

"Who Cares Aboot Koopas?" - 1B71-0000-0018-3206
[I see that this is iterating off of Froyo Plains 1, and it's not bad at all! It was a nice, fun ride ON A RAD AS HELL KURIBO'S SHOE]

"NES Remix (Run, Mario, Run!) 8-3" - CB1D-0000-0019-630E
[this was OK, kind of rough given the time but as someone who didn't play NES Remix, it seems to have captured what that minigame was going for]

"Super Mario Bros. 2 (U.S.A.)" - FA46-0000-001D-38A7
[It was not bad! Definitely SMB2 with some clever changes]

"Memories of Giant Land" - B50E-0000-0028-326A
[it was pretty good, but I'm not sure how I feel about recreations from older games--I guess it's interesting to see how clever people can get with certain mechanics so there's some novelty in it]

Majestic Flock of Spring Birds: D381-0000-001A-FB82
[This took a couple tries, but I think it pulls off the general difficulty curve you see you most Mario levels pretty well!]

Bridge to the Danger Zone: 5C38-0000-001C-BA9C
[The first bridge seemed to be more appropriate for a later-level portion because it wasn't immediately clear what I had to do, and the jumps afterward were a bit rough and easy to mess up. The triple koopas later on seemed to be a bit too close to the edge to allow-at least myself--to react, too. Good concept though! I think it just needs a little more breathing room. Sweet ending too]

Thwomp Dump Castle: 5A1C-0000-0025-8A6C
[Having that Thwomp break a hole through the ground with no guidance on where to land and the final bridge (I had to wait for the Thwomp to make its way all the way back, only to die) was frustrating]

Know Thy Spikes: 73EA-0000-0017-69AE
[Some cute tricks, but that one-tile-high gap with spikes made me lose my helmet, so that was a bummer. Also it's possible to Do The Thing and then hit the powerup block, completely boning yourself. It's not clear at all what I'm supposed to do after the big jump--but with Luca's help I figured it out. Good concept, but it's a hard thing to communicate properly since there are no message boxes]

Wiggler's Grudge (Note, the Home Version has Wiggler saying "Imma blast ya into next week!" instead of the horror visual/audio.): 669A-0000-001F-EEFB
[I passed on this because I couldn't figure out how to get past the munchers in the cave area]

Castle Grayscroll: 617D-0000-002C-D1F5
[Not bad! I died a good several times for my own dumb reasons, but this level's pretty solid. It's fairly easy to miss the star, though.]

I spent most of yesterday evening having a little Mario Maker party with my brother. He brought over his Wii U and we both made levels and stuff.

@Dorito: Fun fact about Bridge to the Danger Zone, I was originally going to end it right there after the first bridge, but it felt too short.

I made two more stages! As you can probably tell, I've unlocked sound effects now.

So I'm making worlds, but I think my first world is a little too easy so I've decided not to upload it yet. Instead, I'm uploading my athletic themed / sky-themed second world: "Koopa Hills!"

Here's the codes:
Koopa Hills 1 - 50E3-0000-0031-ED4D
Koopa Hills 2 - D1D4-0000-0031-EF4B
Koopa Hills 3 - BC98-0000-0031-F566
Koopas in the Sky - 2103-0000-0031-FF0A

They're all using the SMW and SMB3 themes. I fear I might have been a bit too bland but oh well

Everybody here at our apartment has been making levels, so I guess I should show my silly things off here too... >.>;;;

I'm planning on making a "world" of 4 levels with each theme, and 4 extra worlds with mixed themes. I don't know how many uploads you get or how long it takes to get 32 uploads, but...

World 1 is finished now, and it's SMB1-themed. Each level is meant to play and feel like SMB1, so there aren't too many gimmicks from other games yet, and they aren't meant to be too difficult.

World 1-1: Simple & Sweet
A simple overworld level without too many frills.
Code:

4658-0000-0034-7436

World 1-2: Pipes & Points
An underground level. Watch out for the sharp points on the enemies...
Code:

5C88-0000-0034-B323

World 1-3: Heights & Hazards
An athletic overworld level. Beware the bouncing Koopas!
Code:

E92A-0000-0034-E5B3

World 1-4: Leaps, Lifts, & Lava
A castle level with lots of... well, leaps on lifts over lava!
Code:

C0E2-0000-0035-0359

No shame in using composite if you have to.

Still making things. Don't have all the elements I want just yet, so I'm sitting on two half-finished levels in the meantime. Soon enough, I suppose...!

Nice streams, Eppy! I'm glad you had fun with my stages. By the way, could you put the codes for the stages in the video description or annotation? Otherwise, people can't really look them up. (And for future reference, if you click the ID button, it shows the ID on-screen.)

This one's probably my first actually "creative" stage, and I've apparently spent so long in the editor that I've gotten two of my course part shipments in early, but I stuck with beginner parts on this one.

BLAH I MADE A LEVEL OR SOMETHING

Abridged Pipes
BBDB-0000-003B-5159

Super Mario Maker is pretty fun so far! It's definitely no Lunar Magic, and I frequently find myself longing for some more powerful tools and options (alternate level palettes, vertical levels, and choice of music tracks, to name a few), but overall it's far exceeded my expectations. Well done, Nintendo!
