I just got it and the first thing I did was go through the art book. (And scan my amiibos.) So many neat things!
Of course, because of that, I have yet to make any stages.

Also, I think because I triggered the "new parts coming tomorrow" message before updating to v1.01, I don't think I get the benefit of the shorter times yet...

Good news! If you started on v1.0 and updated to v1.01, you'll get the next truckload on the new time rather than the next day. In fact, the developers even planned for this and have a message saying that the truck arrived earlier than planned.

Mine are very basic and not meant to provide much challenge (yet). Enough people are doing that.


Wallkicks and Big Shells

This one starts with a basic wallkick, followed up by something that works in all "modes": using big shells to break blocks! (There is also a minor jumping challenge to get the top of the flagpole at the end.)

First level made. It is inspired by (surprise) 1-2, but not quite the same. There are a few secrets in certain spots, as well.

This level was inspired by Super Mario World and Yoshi's Island's Bowser's Castle stages. And just like the latter, one of the four paths here is a lot easier than the others. (There's also a secret outside, too. But the minimap spoils that one!)

I was just thinking about how great it would be for someone to stream. Jul Mario Maker showcase!


Also, maybe it's because I spend so much time making courses, but I think the new unlock times are quite reasonable. I keep unlocking new packs before I can finish making a stage with stuff from the previous pack.




My levels may or may not be quite difficult...

I updated my post with a new stage, a choose-your-own-path pseudo-ghosthouse. It is a bit sillier (and harder) than my previous ones, but there's an easy route, too.

This stage is so much RNG it hurts. I've had five different outcomes, including at least one where I got plastered in the face with a rogue shell.

Fun, but jeez.

Yeah, but I made sure that there's always a safe zone from any flying shells. You just have to wait until the coast is clear.



Here's another stage, this time using the castle set! I used the max room size and filled the limit for terrain pieces.

Considering how low the clear percentages for my stages are, I'm considering giving some tips to help people out.
