...let's not forget the totally not shitty ZB Block.

Features include IP Banning Windows 95 and IE 5 users on the basis that only spambots use them, so that they will never be able to access the site with the same IP.

Another brilliant feature is the arbitrary excluding of various ISP, (including mine) for apparently being spambots.

11/10 would use

I wonder what kind of havoc it would cause to DHCP internet connections...y'know, since the IP address will always change. In theory, you could end blocking an entire ISP with just that, and I believe zaphod (creator of ZB Block) actually did that to various ISPs due to massive spamming, meaning that any legitimate user would also get blocked.

And yet they somehow don't block Mac OS 9 or older? Better change your user argent. (Hint: It ain't that hard.) Somehow, it won't be long before the same is true with Windows XP and older.

Guess what happened to my ISP :^)

Also, I do have the User Agent Switcher (is it even named like that? ), but because my ISP is blocked I can't access it anyway.
There is no way I'll ask them to remove my block due to a variety of reasons, including:

#1 The way they are thinking to block spammers is completely irrational and sending e-mails to the owner for unblocking one of the many false positives should never be required. Note that I know other websites/forums that do similar things such as MalwareUp.org, but in those cases the only thing that is done is an IP range ban and nothing else. The first time I've known about this ISP blocking extravaganza was immediately after I've read a thread on msfn.org. That thread is about how ZB Block IP bans Windows 95 users. It was also the first time I've heard of ZB Block, which wasn't a good start at all (and it became even better when I've tried to go to the ZB Block website for the first time, only to be blocked because "Spammer tolerant host network". This was my reaction). Even though not many people use Windows 95 today outside of virtualization, the way Zaphod stated why they throw IP Bans like this (all the Windows 95 users are spambots since that OS can't connect to the internet blah blah) is just wrong and shows a design problem.
#2 If a website uses ZB Block, for me both the webmaster and the website automatically fail. No bonus. 0/10.
#3 ZB Block is obscure and no website I go to thankfully uses it. Before reading the msfn thread I didn't even know something like this existed.
#4 I don't really care that much.

...Damn, and I thought AOL bans were bad.

(I've had a few people automatically assume I was some kind of shithead because of my ISP back in the day. Not cool.)

Huh.

I had no idea rpg.net did that. Shame, it's a decent place otherwise.

Oh yeah, I remember people misusing AOL and getting the IP addresses blocked back then. Then again, a lot of users were jammed onto one IP. One naughty users could prevent loads of others from using a site through AOL. There's a reason many people I know don't use it anymore. That doesn't happen so much today, but that creates another problem.

Okay, because the one I mentioned seems to have some beef with StapleButter and quite frankly I don't really want to get involved in any of that crap.

I think I sent you a PM, but it seems like you don't wish to respond my PM's despite over that you do NOT wish to accept a request for ban; right now, I am on the case about him.

I'd happen to get my account compromised despite over a goddamn comment and I am here to fight back so I can protect myself from getting hacked. He made a vacuous thread
about his damn address from there after I got banned for somewhat "blackmailing him" whatever the hell he says, he eventually saved our IRC texts on his computer or his cloud drive. (Ex. Google Drive, Onedrive or Dropbox) not sure where he'd saved it to. In case you are wondering why I need to get banned because...of him. I already referred about Shibboleet explain it about StapleButter to you. Yes, you, Xkeeper. He advised me on discord and said stop doxxing a user on irc because he was defending StapleButter for all this mess. But eventually, everyone else takes advantage of me that I've EVER received that kind of thing through all my life. But guess what? He gets what he deserves for compromising my account. I don't care where was it, I'm not going to sit here on this computer in 2 hours and explain what happened over here because this isn't related to this board anyhow.

He even constructed ANOTHER thread about the parcel thread despites over a goddamn bomb which is sincerely not actually true. He thinks that I am a terrorist in real life about sending a bomb to his house (which he thinks I have a real bomb.) But that's it, He pushed my limit way too much. I have no choice but do this. He is generally insults my intelligence, always call me "dense" everyday despite over about requesting him to closing the thread, instead he banned me. So I haven't mess with him, all he does is drop a gun on people. Now I am getting banned. Now I explained the entire thing about him because I put hours to this post to make it understandable. But if this post gets deleted without reading it. Then I guess I don't know what to tell you. But PM me on discord or whatever.

Goodbye.

You could, at any moment, sign out, stop posting, leave forever. Instead, you come here with a bunch of weird claims, and then demand I ban you.

In an ironic twist, you are not banned, but instead continue to stay here lamenting your fate.

A tragedy in two acts.
