Eh, I didn't know how to call this thread...

Anyway, some (f)art made in photoshop in the worst possible way (i.e. using only the brush, and every shade of color has it's own layer). Ow!

This is what I get by trying to imitate "Adobe Flash". Nope.

I'll let you guess what this actually is. A virtual cookie to anyone who finds the easy correct answer... maybe.

More "art" coming soon...

Act 2

Same worst possible way of drawing as the other one.

In the document there were actually two drawings:

- One with Sonic in its idle pose based on the third game (this one)
- Witch from Puyo Puyo 3

This Sonic drawing survived to my current standards (although here there are many design errors which by now have been fixed), while the other one... not so much. As result I will never upload it.

Err.. Wrong answer!

I'll give a hint:

iOS game.

Also, a joke drawing, done to see how well Windows 7 Paint handles monochome bitmaps.

This is what happens when you want to draw without a tablet in Paint, when trying to draw like this.

Tracings of the Robot Masters from Mega Man 2. Yawn... done to see how close could I get from computer screen to paper.

The order in which they were drawn is : Heat - Air - Quick - Bubble - Metal - Flash - Wood - Crash.

NOTE: These were made last summer, but I've never got to upload them. This was back when my scanner was still working.

you should probably look into new ways to do shading. Even if it's not pixel art, I'm under the firm belief that pillow shading is cancer. :V

Eh, I'd have a (technically) working way to have a better shading than my first horrible attempts, but there would be only one small problem that's stopping me to do so:

I need a tablet (or a working scanner).

In the meanwhile, here is a very early WIP of a drawing drawn with a mouse under Windows 3.11 PaintBrush. The keyword here is: dithering.

Unfinished WTCH.BMP photo wtch_zpsc109bd67.jpg
Taken with a camera to see the dithering effect better. (real reason: there is none)

Why? Dithering experiment #02. That is all.

Ugh... Firefox screwed up with Javascript this time. Photobucket barely works there so I had to use IE.

Anyway, I don't need to describe absolutely anything here. The image should speak for itself, but due to crappy camera and non-functioning scanner, I had to rewrite some text on MSPaint.

WELP, I CAN'T DRAW photo Foto0437_zpse4bb85ed.jpg

No bonus points for the reference at the bottom.

Jokes aside, this was done to test pencil coloring (it doesn't work and with the picture quality making it look worse doesn't help matters).

Here we go again! It's been a while since I've colored something with a pencil.

And with the scanner now working I can show details better (>implying want to put details), too bad the colors look much less bright than they actually are. I had to edit the colors manually, but still it looks like crap compared to the original one (which is crap anyway, why am I compaining ).

 photo IMG_zps77c0df22.jpg

As always, joke text will is present.

I think I use a fairly unothodox method to color with a pencil. It eats pencils faster than I eat my snacks, and it becomes quite hard not to draw overline, because I do a gradient with a dark color, then I press the pencil hard with a lighter color.

Status of the character, act 2.
 photo notwitch_zpsf52dec62.png

Nothing special. End.

This joke drawing here is a comment for everything but my this.

Anyway, want to know why I draw in a normal squared piece of paper?

See the first two pictures. Because to draw in Photoshop with a mouse I need something as a base, the sketch is drawn on paper. Then I (technically) should trace it in Photoshop. Lines help (but other times they don't).
The coloring is a side effect of me having too much time to waste with something horribly drawn.

Everything serious (like a joke SMW drawing with something not quite right on it), is drawn on a standard A4 no lines paper, actually for drawings and similar stuff, not a piece of paper for writing.

Finally! This one took some days to finish.

This is the "serious" drawing I was talking about. It's done on drawing paper unlike the ones that came before.

As usual the scanner ruined the little quality that this piece of fart has. Also, I had to crop part of the picture (click here to see the full picture)
Guess what am I referencing to... yeah...

Also, the perspective was intentionally done like this. That's bad.

I can't seem to get enough of this horror. All this horror should be removed.

Anyway, this is what happens when I pratically don't care about the design or about what I draw.

 photo 001_zps2fe2f28b.jpg

Bonus here, on what are my future plans for my layout. It will likely never happen, but it's still an idea. :/

It's the Gravity Guy suit in that game. That's why it looks different from "vanilla" gravity guy.

I didn't care so much, I traced it in Paint instead of Photoshop after scanning it. :/
