I'm working on a MKWii stage, a port of Bianco Hills. I have the main stage model, but the objects are stored separately and I can't find several of them.
I'm know the basic layout of the individual stage archives. There's a bunch of folders containing object subfolders.
1. The windmill etc. have placeholder black textures. Will replacing the placeholder with the good textures, keeping the original UV, work?
2. I'm also looking for the wooden gate in Bianco Hills that blocks the hole in the white wall. But I can't find the BMD of the wooden gate.

Since it seems you missed my answer the first time, here it is again, in condensed form:

-All the props for every room can be found in their directories.
-Every location has a "mapcommon" folder that contains various props for the particular room.
-The placeholder textures are located somewhere that I can't find. Just use Dolphin to rip them.
-The UVs for the models are fine, it's just that the textures aren't there.

In the future, consider trying things. Open models until you find the one you want. Apply textures to the models and see if they work.

1. I already figured out the windmill. The UV wasn't *quite* right, but I'll take it. Blame Sketchup.
2. I already went through all the models once or twice and didn't find anything matching. Blame my lack of patience.
And why is there a stupid blooper on the screen blocking the text? Should I adblock it? Not now.

Even though you insulted Ikachan, I'm still going to help you. The model you're looking for is biadoor. It is one of the first few models in the first episode. If you looked at that model before, you might not have recognized it because the game stretches it a bit.

Next time, though, try being patient, at attempt at least some of this on your own. In the time it took you to post your question in the first place, you could have already found the model on your own, imported it, and applied textures to it to see if it works.

I don't know who/what Ikachan is. This is my first time here and I don't know the "culture of the forum" and "open secrets". I assume it's related to the blooper spam. Where are the rules?

And I got the windmill to look perfect. Sketchup utterly destroyed the texturing when I reapplied textures, so I had to change the original texture file and reimport from .3ds completely.
And I spent at least 5 minutes looking through the models and found nothing like the door.

(Do I even belong here?)

That "blooper spam" is Ikachan. He is a beloved video game star and the guardian of this forum. Insulting him is...not recommended.

How do you get your custom title?
I assume you have to pay money for it. Am I correct?

The last time someone paid for something like that, it ended badly.

You get a custom title by just hanging around for a while and becoming a decent forum member, basically.

Whenever an admin decides it's time to give you one. (This should really be moved to a different topic...)
