What's the deal with Innocent Town?

Is this like a "quirky seaside resort town" that becomes dead in the winter? Like basically all of Maine?

"Oh, sorry, we close at 3PM now because it's the winter."

I think we should "turn this town upside-down". We should decorate it with "Christmas" lights. We should make it "economical" in the winter season, too. No, swimming isn't "fun" this time of the year, but we could make Innocent Town "picturesque" with snowmen and reindeer made out of lights.

Pretty much. Actually, I think if both of us left at the same time, I think you'd get there first.

Maine's a pretty big state and I'm more up at the central, maaaaybe a little more northern end of it. I know I can reach Canada in about an hour and Aroostook County (the most northern and largest county in Maine) even sooner than that.

Here's how Google Maps would plan the quickest route.

I have been there a few times being a former Mainer.

I'm probably not the best judge, being not as hip, but it's pretty nice.

Still only the second most hopping Portland I have been to.

I have been there a few times being a former Mainer.

I'm probably not the best judge, being not as hip, but it's pretty nice.

I used to be super into Portland, OR but I've since discovered the real gem of the Pacific Northwest. Portland’s actually kinda slow. It’s basically a big version of those quaint towns that die down in the winter.

Yeaah. Do you have any job experience by any chance? You could probably try to look for jobs on Craigslist or something but it's also kinda hard.

When I went there, I met someone who told me that she applied for a job somewhere once and they told her that they liked everything about her except for the fact that she just moved to Portland and that they figured she was probably going to move back to California after a few months. So they hired someone else and she found a job elsewhere and a month later they called her and told her the person they hired moved and wanted her to work for them.

She said no.

Nope, I can't get a job anywhere. Not here not there not anywhere. I would go to Craigslist, but I really don't trust that site at all.

I've considered signing on with a temp agency, but there is no point until I know where I'm going to be. Don't need to be getting calls about something when I'm not in the right place.

I mean hell, I applied for McDonalds like 7 times. And I can't even get a job there. (That's basically a last resort. I hate McDonalds)
