This has been driving me slightly nuts. I found what I think is an unused item/web attack in the GBA version of Spiderman: The Movie. Here is a picture of the item in the top right:
I am 75% to 80% sure that the item is unused. The problem is that I can't 100% confirm it. Detailed walkthroughs of this version of the game are nonexistent and my mind is a little fuzzy with this game.
Long Story Short:
If you have played this game, do you remember picking up this item?

I'm the same way. I just don't remember this item. I don't think it is ever found in any of the levels. I think if this item was accessible then it would be for accomplishing something. For example, you can obtain the "Super Web" item shown below by collecting all of the golden spiders on a level.
Actually, do you have the game manual handy? If you do, could you flip through it to see what items it talks about?
Regardless, the more I look at the item, the more I think it is unused because of what it does. Unless the game is just glitching, it just acts as a crappier version of the Super Web. The name of the item is also called Blind Web.

Bro I used to play this game all the time earlier this year. And to be honest, I don't think I found this power up in any part of the game. I'm 85% certain I'm right, because I used to be addicted to this game lol. It does look pretty cool, though. I wonder what it could have been used for...?

| Now that you mention unlocking power-ups through achievements, and since it's shaped like an eye, maybe this is unlocked by capturing all the photographs? I got this game used, so I don't own the manual, sorry. |

Do you mean capturing all the photographs for a single level or for the whole entire game? I don't think that you get this powerup for capturing every photo on a single level. It would have to be for the entire game. I know that you can unlock photos from the movie by doing this but I am not sure about obtaining the power up.
I was able to check my game manual since I am back home. It doesn't mention the Blind Web power up(The one in question) or the Super Web power up even though the Super Web power up is used.

| Well it makes sense that the manual wouldn't describe hidden power-ups. There must be some way to check if that power-up can be unlocked or received, though. Hm, don't power-ups switch places when you pick one up? Does the game have a working pick-up version of it? |

If I knew that this power up had a working pick up version of it somewhere in the game then there wouldn't be question about whether it was unused or not 
When you hack the item into your possession and get to the next level, you can switch the item for any other item like it is no big deal.
