I'm really looking forward to how they remake the locations in the game. With a city on treetops, a town that floats on the ocean, a space center on an island, and a city in the remains of an extinct volcano, Ruby & Sapphire had some pretty neat locations that I bet Nintendo could really do a lot with.

Well, let's hope it is a lot more fun than Ruby/Sapphire was.

Of course, considering the main game improvements from RuSa to X/Y, that's probably a given.

I'm mostly concerned with that they might lock down content in needless walls, as they are prone to do, if more recent games are any example. :/
R/S/E are the most open ended games in the series if you ask me, and a lot of that comes from the freedom you have in exploring what you want as well as having plenty of optional areas to do so in.

Also, I hope the get rid of most of the bloody rocks in the ocean (since it makes it not seem like an ocean at all!) and replace it with islands instead. That would make for a better experience I feel.

New CoroCoro leaks showing off some OR/AS info.

http://www.serebii.net/corocoro7143.jpg
http://www.serebii.net/corocoro7145.jpg

Notable information:

Three new mega-evolutions: Mega Swampert, Mega Sceptile and most surprisingly, Mega Diancie. Sceptile gains a new typing, Grass/Dragon. Swampert gains the ability Swift Swim, Sceptile gets Lightning Rod and Diancie's mega ability is unrevealed, listed as "???".
Mach / Acro bikes return.
Steven returns with a Mega Charizard X.
Team Magma and Team Aqua return with Maxie and Archie, but also with some new team admins.
"Mega" Groundon and "Mega Kyogre" seem to be dubbed "Primal" Groudon and "Primal" Kyogre. Possibly not a mega-evolution at all?

I'm definitely interested, though I won't be free to trade for about five hours (because of summer classes).

For the sake of anyone else who might be interested as well, how many Pokemon do you intend to evolve?

I've got three: a Clamperl -> Gorebyss, an Onix -> Steelix, and a Feebas -> Milotic.

I can also wait.

Awesome, thanks a million. Now my serpetine-shaped Pokémon team is done!

Speaking of, my serpenteam is, objectively speaking, undefeated, so care for a single battle with normal rules?

Your serpenteam, technically speaking, now has a 100% loss rate.

A small tip, because you didn't do it at all: try switching during battle. Your Milotic is a total tank but couldn't out-damage my Conkeldurr's Drain Punch, Mandibuzz's Roost or Sylveon's Wish, and if I had taunt it'd be useless.

You also could've tried attacking my Mawile when your Milotic was at low health, because it was obvious you'd go for a Recover (so Sucker Punch wouldn't work), but you would've fainted me with Brine (because you're faster).

Serperior's cool, though, and I still haven't had the chance to use mine.

EDIT- While I'm posting, would anyone happen to have a hidden ability Spritzee (Aroma Veil) or a hidden ability Karrablast (No Guard) with Drill Run?

The former is just a Safari Pokemon, but Karrablast's hidden ability is only from Black 2/White 2, and Drill Run is... a complicated egg move. I'm willing to breed any flawless (up to 5IV) Pokemon that I can in return (including 0-speed Trick Room stuff).

My serpenteam has one Pokémon from every generation, so, objectively speaking, it's still undefeated.

I used the Gorebyss instead of the Zygarde because I didn't want to be That Guy™ who uses legendaries and mega-evolvers in a casual match. Since I don't play competitively, I like to smooth it out by using a "regular" selection in my roster, and not switching out every other turn (which gets old really fast).

I promise, I wouldn't use Gorebyss in a tournament.

It wasn't obvious that I'd go for Recover, nor was it obvious that Sucker Punch would defeat the Milotic. I didn't save the replay to inspect the HP meter, but it looked to me like the attack was in the 80-100 RNG range for damage. I figured you wouldn't risk losing your Mega Evolution, and if Recover could make it last a little longer, that made the most sense.

I'd accidentally selected Dragon Tail. I'm glad you one-shotted it.

Aw, where's your sense of adventure? My entire pseudo-serpenteam was composed of perfect-sixes! It really doesn't take that long; you just need the patience to do it. (And yes, that just came from a guy who couldn't stand looking for a Sturdy Carbink)

First off, nice callback.

Technically, perfect 6IV is detrimental more often than not, because (for special attackers) you take extra damage from confusion and Foul Play, and apart from mixed attackers it doesn't help you in battle anyways.

So if you're breeding Pokemon, 6IV is almost always a waste of time, unless you happen not to be using a 6IV Ditto (and are then reusing that 6IV as a parent)... in which case how did you even get that many 6IV in the first place!?!

EDIT- I wasn't paying enough attention in battle, but yes, I did notice that Gorebyss and Onyx were in Moon Balls while we traded. I assume, then, that you also noticed that Mawile was in a Love Ball?~

I wound up breeding them for my Poison team, of course. Going from Croagunk to Grimer wasn't a simple breeding chain, but I found a way!

Did you notice all the Moon Balls I was using?

So like... Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire? I imagine the primary difference is which world-ending monstrosity you go after, meaning my question is a bit simpler in truth: Groudon or Kyogre?

I'm personally more partial to Kyogre because I think it's a better design, but I'm curious as to what the rest of the world thinks. Were I to hazard a guess, I would figure Kyogre is more appealing in general, so maybe I'll want to go with Omega Ruby so I can be different.

But I don't know, so I'm asking! Which one do you prefer?

I intend to get both games eventually, but I'm getting Alpha Sapphire first for a few reasons:

- I played Sapphire first so I want Alpha Sapphire to be my first RSE remake;
- I already have a good-IV Groudon so I want to get a great Kyogre as soon as possible;
- Mawile and Sableye are version exclusives but I already have a Mega Mawile so I want Sapphire's Mega Sableye.

I'm still undecided between using Brendan with my own name or May with her actual name, though...

EDIT-
