It's been a while since someone made a topic about the start of a month, which is sad because they're actually pretty groovy since people seem to plan things for whatever reason around months. But for me, the first of the month means that I have to go out and buy a train pass. Other than that, this month is about saving money for my trip to Portland at the end of it.

August pretty much begins a long, boring stay at home while I look for jobs with no real end in sight as far as leaving the state for a while. There's also going to be some looking around at places to live and jobs to possibly find, so we'll have to see what's happening on that end too.

Time to start saving and looking!

August 27th, my parents go camping for 5 days, leaving me in the house. So imma get my good friend Robert over, play a shitton of games and probably get a little bit bladdered. We'll also most likely start mixing drinks in freakish ways again. Tip: Mountain Dew, Rockstar, Pepsi Max and a small handful of Skittles in a glass. Stir. Oh my god, how can it taste that good.

But for my first day of August? Saw my Gran and helped out with next door's garden. Pretty good day. And I think now is the month where I pick up my XNA book again, read that shit and finally start programming the Metroid game I've been dying to make since halfway through my college year. Typical. When I have exams, all I can think about is my game. When I actually have the free time to do it, nope.

I'm excited for this August! Finally getting the garage sale done this weekend, but I'm also moving for school later in the month! Still need to find renter's insurance, but it doesn't look like it's too expensive. I'll have to get it done before I leave, though.

It's the coldest month of the year!

It's already been a horrible flu season, what with everyone getting sick so I hope we get an early spring. On the other hand my PhD is actually progressing now, which is nice.

In this month I will once again be reminded how short the life is, and how little I have accomplished in the time already spent.

I will also possibly be getting a new car (which is actually an old car, akin to how the biblical new covenant is the old covenant renewed).

And hopefully this month I finally finish one or more of my YouTube videos that I've been working on for a bit too long.
