Good news! Those vague reports around the web ARE true after all. Star Fox Adventures USA version will load Japanese text on a Japan console. Behavior once again prevented by region lock. Recurring theme here.

It's easy to reproduce. Use the 'Force NTSC-J' option in Dolphin.

I haven't yet tested the opposite way (no JPN ISO file), but seems very likely given what I've read.

Judging by the footage I've seen of the Japanese version, the voices are still in English, while the text is Japanese. This is quite odd, considering that the previous entry, Star Fox 64, had Japanese vocals

I guess someone should run a check on the data files to see if anything else was changed.

Just because the US game has a Japanese mode doesn't mean things weren't changed / updated...
