I hear growing up in the 60s back in China, chicken eggs were a big deal and you'd only get to eat them on your birthday. So I don't see why they wouldn't make decidedly groovy Easter nosh.
Really, though, if I had to choose between regular eggs and a chocolate egg on just one occasion, I'd totally pick the chocolate egg, but I could never substitute real eggs in my diet with ones made out of processed cacao seeds and filled with yolk-like fondant. If I ever have kids, I'll get them Cadbury eggs on Easter and some special real egg—probably some organic heirloom kind or maybe an egg of something more exotic like quail or goose or duck. In fact, I might start the tradition with myself this year and go on a hunt for some for this coming Easter. Oh, and guys, try deep-frying those Cadbury eggs sometime. It's really something else. The best way to eat a hard-boiled egg is in an egg salad though, so the texture is masked by the mayonnaise anyway.
