Most I got was being talked to or sent to my room for 5 minutes. I was a good kid.

Though I did taste soap out of curiosity. Bleh.

I just never swore as a kid.

I didn't start swearing till I was 16 or so. And even then never in front of parents. Once I moved out I started swearing more often.

Even now, I go back home on occasion and feel perfectly comfortable swearing in front of my mother and brother.

Being from Australia, half the lexicon is what would be considered profanity in other areas.

I still don't really curse and I'm 23 years old. I'm the odd one out in my family.

Also, I never really broke any rules as a kid and even then my parents believed that corporal punishment is evil.

Oddly their open ended parenting and explaining why things are bad instead of just saying they were forbidden have led me to be more straight-laced than my parents. Both of my parents were wild troublemakers in their youth while I sit around minding my own business.

Of course my social life is also nonexistent but... eh. That's what happens when you're as straigtedge as me. No fun.

I do swear a considerable amount, but it really depends on who I'm with, where I am and how I'm feeling. I tend to swear in mock anger more than anything.

You guys should see Nicole, though. Holy crap, she swears a lot. It must be the "Boston Irish" in her.

I swear quite frequently and my parents don't really care. It's not like I can't control it; in a situation that demands I don't swear, I don't swear. It isn't a problem.

Can the genius who thought this up seriously send it to America for debate?

No, I'm being serious.

I'd really love if we got rid of the penny.

We got rid of 1c and 2c coins over a decade ago. We're probably well overdue to get rid of 5c coins as well....but I can always hope.

Probably the same way you pay for gasoline even though it's often priced to nine-tenths of a cent.

Namely, you just round the prices.

Honestly, I just tell people to keep the change now.

I refuse to get pennies back since I haven't used them since I was a pre-teen. (back then I would save every single penny for a year so I could buy 2 dollars worth of candy)

It's not worth my time to be counting pennies.

Thank god for debit cards. Taking change out of the equation.

Honestly the idea of getting rid of the penny always felt dishonest to me- like "we really should be revaluing our currency, but we don't want to, so we're going to institute rounding as a part of daily life"... I don't know, it feels inelegant I suppose.
