| No it wasn't. It was actually for at least a week and a half before Thanksgiving. The fine print said one turkey per customer, but people were still getting through with like, two or three at times, but they all had to be rung up as separate orders. That pretty much kills the point of having the fine print anyway, but I'm not really in a good position to argue it. ____________________ |

| Well they'd usually be between $6-$10, so...double that to get the weights of the turkeys. They were pretty heavy, I'll say that. I remember the front end manager (or someone higher up) mentioning they were losing money on the deal or something, but yet this was being done. Well, turkey was probably their loss leader, in the hopes that people would spend a lot on other supplies for thanksgiving dinner. It makes sense, if it worked out for them. I imagine it did if they were able to bring in a lot more customers than any other store.

| Mmmhmmm.....my plan worked. Anyway, as far as a loss leader goes, I can see it working. Aside from one other store (which never seems like a whole lot of competition as I haven't ever seen them busy in years), there's not really any competition though, so at least in this particular store, there's really nothing to fear because people in a fifteen mile range are going to come to us anyway. ____________________ |
