Hello guys,
This is my very first thread and post. I registered in this thread so that I could show what I've done to people. I'm not too new to ROMhacking, as back in the day I had done a pretty decent MM2 hack, but then, this is the first thing I've done for years.
Wily's Toolbox inspired me due to its simplicity of use. I did not want to go all the way making an extremely complex hack, but realized that I missed designing levels. So that is how I started, but then had to make different graphic changes...and before I realized I had done a whole hack of this short game. Still, it is quite basic, as I know nothing about ASM.
The reason why I didn't change more things is not only due to lack of sufficient knowledge but also because I didn't want to start making gimmicky changes, and just wanted to focus on fun design, and doing the best with mostly the default things that the game already has.
Maybe a few of you will like it.
With some luck, maybe eventually I can tackle the other GB games of the series.

Im pretty late in trying this, and especially replying...hope you'll see this sooner or later. But i think i need help maybe.
I wanted to try this hack..got your patch...applied to a gameboy megaman 1 rom....and absolutely ZERO is changed after going through cutman and fireman..
Is this only meant for a very specific rom or something ? the GB mm1 rom i used is dated 8/12/1996.
there's no changes or anything. it's still all the same after putting the IPS on it.  |

I had the same problem as well. Even if I apply the patch to the game, there aren't changes at all.
