| That leaves green for silverthundr. Round 2 will run under the simultaneous gameplay variant (beta). What exactly is different than in the classical one? #1) The majority of the game will happen in PMs. Each turn consists of every player making his move at the same time (to prevent advantages for people who'd go first). Differences: Phase 1 - Each of the player's dice rolls (and their movement possibilities) are viewable in the post when the new turn starts. (If you have an option to immediately make a suggestion or use a portal, you will not roll dice. If you choose to roll dice, the roll will be PMed to you.) Phase 2 - Happens in PMs. Phase 3 - Will mostly happen in PMs as well. If somebody suggests a data card of which you have only one, then it is automatically shown. However, if you have two or more, you will receive a PM and be asked which one to show (you will know who made that suggestion). While you still get to know a suggested data card per PM, the public information about who could/could not show another player a data card is revealed in the next post. Phase 4 - (see further below; #3) The next post will reveal what each player did the previous round. #2) Using this system should speed up the flow of the game, as we do not need to wait for the players one by one, but only for each of them to reply to the PM(s). However, as you can see it hasn't really been tested yet and so I cannot guarantee this will not disturb certain aspects of the game. #3) Accusation now works as follows: You must be in the area "Stadium" when you make your accusation. So basically, if you want to accuse somebody and you can reach the stadium, PM me that you want to make an accusation and move to the stadium. Then you need to present your accusation in a post. (Note: You cannot make a suggestion before you make an accusation. You can, however, immediately make an accusation after you made a suggestion in the "Stadium" the turn before, or if you were moved to the "Stadium" by another player per suggestion.) (With the "Stadium" rule I hoped to rule out that multiple people make the correct accusation at once if somebody suggests the correct answer...) It may be helpful to plan your route in a way to make the "Stadium" (or another area close to it) one of your last destinations in your quest for the truth. #4) If you pick up one or both of the data cards on the board, then they will transfer to your hand, meaning they may be viewed by other players when suggested. This means that not every player has to check a "hidden data packet" or something like last round. As soon as one player picks up one of these data cards, he may be the first to know its content, but the others are then able to place the card in their deductions by suggestions. You can pick up a data card by simply moving over it, you don't even have to stop on it or anything. ... Don't worry; it may sound complicated but it really isn't, and you'll quickly grasp it. ![]() (I also hope there will be a way for me to circumvent continuous multi-posting...) ... This round's plot: The new attraction simply called "the playground" was designed and created by Minecraft's author Notch. It is based on the looks of his game Minecraft and features a few interesting building completely in the Minecraft style. The playground, however, isn't really a big success. In fact it is an utter failure, as nobody really cares - and so, Notch is found dead in the playground's stadium one day... was it suicide? Or was he brutally slaughtered and left to die? Five people were on the playground when Notch died, and when it's found out that Notch was actually murdered, those people become suspects. Who did it? Where? And how? The tools that could have been involved in the murder are limited to -) Stone Shovel -) Iron Pickaxe -) Silver Sword -) Steel Chopper -) Bloody Hoe -) Wooden Bow And obviously, the five suspects and nine different possible crime scenes are obviously obvious. ... ![]() |
