Clearly, if you do not act like it is the 1800s, your food will taste horrible.

I posted on forums from school at latest in 4th grade, my memory is hazy so I can't really remember.

I was in 9th grade when I first posted on a message board. I posted from home, though. Didn't start posting from class until college.

First posted on a forum in 9th for me - Acmlm's Board was still in its second incarnation, though I3 started soon after. That place had bizarre web filtering that'd cut off pages - I had to set things to 1PPP to make it readable sometimes. In retrospect, I miss this - it was kinda stupidly hilarious. I even remember making shortcut URLs to the board on all the computers...

10th I was still able to post - though it was I3 / ABII / ||board, by this point. I posted a fair bit less on all of them, though I tended to just post dumb shit on ||.

Web filters came around and knocked all the enjoyment of having extra time away.

Of course, as I've constantly told people about, booting a Linux distro from USB (Damn Small was lovely on these machines) tended to get me around a bunch of filters, and the teachers didn't care since I had a good reputation.

I remember my 11th grade Internet class at school. It was supposed to be about web design, etc but everyone ended up playing Worms Armageddon or Quake II. Since I was the most knowledgeable with HTML, I was always stuck doing minor updates to the school's website. I may have visited my own forum a time or two but it wasn't on a regular basis because I was usually playing games like everyone else.

That's pretty much how every class with computers in the room went. Only a few students actually payed attention and did anything. This was especially apparent in programming class, where all but five students repeatedly asked how to do the most basic things all through the semester, then went back to browsing fantasy football and facebook or whatever. I ended up browsing the web, too, but only because I always finished my assignments quickly and earned it. I may or may not have posted on Acmlm's a few times from there.

I first went on the internet in third grade, joined a forum in 4th. I was in independent study/a computerless public school most of the time so there were no real filters to speak of. I had no computers to use, unless you count old Apple ][es. :V

I've been on forums since I was 12, and I joined incarnation 1 of Acmlm's Board when I was 15.

...

Damn...

So what's the deal with batter blaster anyway? What's so interesting and memetic about spray-on pancake batter?

If you type the word spelled d-r-a-m-a, the board replaces it with the phrase "batter blaster".

All pancakes start as liquid first But eating the batter doesn't usually taste as good.

I misread this as "All pancakes start as liquid fire"... those are some pretty extreme pancakes.

Licking the bowl from cookie or brownie mix, or even cake mix, is so much better though

And just how much cinnamon do you put in your pancake mix?
