Exactly. That's why they probably dropped the dummy's version of the model in favor of one that saved space- the translucent water never got anywhere.

Now, I'm kind of intrigued by a rather large .arc called Mo2_si. It's positioned just after Mo.arc. Now, Mo.arc is the Moblin object. rarcdump can't extract it, but on looking at it through a hex editor, you can see that the models are BMDs. I've noticed that older models (like the beta Siren rooms) use BMD format. I'm starting to wonder if the models in Mo.arc are the Moblins from the debut trailer. There's a catch, however. The models themselves are broken- BMDviewer crashes when trying to open them. They're a different from the other BMDs in the game; I wonder if they're in a different (earlier) format, or just corrupted.

I also swear that I found the chandelier that Link jumps onto in that same trailer, but I didn't know what it was at the time. I'll keep looking for it.

I believe that ArcExtract.exe can extract them (It's on Jaytheham's site)

But the models are still broken.

The script from the kiosk demo, full of untranslated Japanese text, rough translations and typos: http://magicstone.de/dzd/random/wwdemo-script.txt

Has gems like "ERROR! Please contact the sales staff for assistance." replacing most Memory Card messages, has the Grappling Hook being called the "Hook Rope", etc. Note that there's many, but not all control codes (button icons, etc.) missing from this dump; I left them out for the sake of a more readable script.

(Also note that you might have to set the character encoding manually, it's in UTF-8)

I believe this is the chandelier from the first E3 trailer. It's called 'syan.' Can anyone confirm that this is or isn't used in-game?

Here's something else:

Are these sounds used anywhere in the game? I don't recognize them.

Syan = shan(deria), "chandelier" in romaji.

Is that your YouTube channel, Gamma? If that's so, what Lishy1 said isn't true. Shiren/siren is 試練 (test/trial/ordeal) in this case, not the English word "siren". Siren would be "sairen" in Japanese.

"If you slow down the ones from the video, they are of a woman speaking Japanese."

Post here and I'll translate them for you.

It never really occurred to me that all of these objects would have pieces of actual Japanese in them. Like I found out a few days ago that the object called 'Kusa' is grass. 'Trial' is a pretty fitting name.

What doesn't make sense in that regard, then, is that the object of the Tower of the Gods is called X_Tower. There's also things like 'Auction,' 'bigelf,' 'bomb,' 'bridge' and 'logo.' Why do these contain supposedly English words?

And yeah, that's my Youtube channel.

Here's the woman speaking Japanese:

http://www.triforce-legend.com/site/sons/TWW_ShirenAW.wav

It was posted in the discussion page of The Wind Waker's TCRF article after I mentioned the sounds.

I've listened to that several times and can't make any sense of it. It almost sounds like Midna's speech. I tried reversing the audio as well, but didn't have any luck. I'll ask a native Japanese speaker tomorrow just in case they're able to make a better guess. What are the normal rat sounds like? Would they sound similar to this? Do you have the audio files somewhere?

Some of the object names are Japanese, some English, some Engrish, some simply abbreviations... Trial makes sense in this case, since the Tower of the Gods is a trial for the hero.

I've noticed people keep asking about the rat sounds... these are not the rat sounds. These are Gohdan's clips.

Oh, sorry. I got confused with the mention of the rats on your YouTube video. By the way, that Triforce Legend site's mystery section is awesome. I didn't know about some of those things. Now I'm curious to see the rest of what the Zora NPCs say in Majora's Mask's debug area.

Here is the rest of the texts of the two Zoras. The second says something different the second time he speaks.

Zora 1

Zora 2
Zora 2

I think this is probably the texts from the normal game.

Sorry again for the English, but since I do not speak, I am forced to use a language translator.

Ce n'est pas un problème! Heureusement, Google Translate peut traduire bien le français et l'anglais. Et je peux parle un peu de français si tu veux communiquer avec moi personnellement. Merci pour participer à ce forum!

Hey, are you planning to relax with a saltwater bath? Isn't the sea around here warm and gross-feeling?

Not to mention there's a strange fog that's appeared, so you'd better be careful!

Is this your first time at the ocean? There's this fortress full of frightning pirates around here.

If you hang around, they'll find you, and you'll be a goner.

If you're looking for a saltwater bath, you'd better go elsewhere.

---

I think you're right about the text being from the normal game. Thank you for the screenshots!

For personal conversations, there is no problem!

Yes, I have a feeling that these texts are present in the game are the two Zoras located not far from the fortress of pirates Gerudos.

Well, this is a small mystery solved. We can talk again of The Wind Waker.

These days, I am very interested in the earliest version of Outset Island. The final game, there remains only the famous large map of the island.

Regarding images of this place, there are only two images of Outset Island from before E3 2002. Above, it is possible to see some interesting things.

The first, the home of Mesa does not exist, as shown on the map.

On the second, it seems that there is a kind of wing windmill in the background, but it's still unclear.

The other interesting thing visible on the map, but can not see because of a lack of images. The dock near the home of Link. It seems very long and dark green. The second image is too hidden.

I can also say that there is also a beach behind the island to the cave of Jabu.

I found you some other screenshots, actually.

Speaking of which, I could use some help on writing commentary for these, too.

There is already a big difference between some images from E3 2002. These are the clouds. Moreover, the textures of this version lacks detail.

May 21st, 2002 (E3), it is the clouds of the first version. I talk about TCRF where I found the texture of the clouds.

May 24th, 2002, the clouds have changed, but I see the house of Mesa is still lacking.

This place reminds me of something ... Caves "I_SubAN".

Is that like a different version of the game, cause from what I remember the buttons didn't look like that on my copy..Besides, I still have yet to beat the game 100%....but I do have clues to where everything is.

plus I haven't viewed E3 in a long time, and Hell, I never even knew there was a 2002 one.

All beta screenshots are from a version of the game that was still in development, so many things are different from the final, including the interface.

It was the same for Zelda 64 and Ocarina of Time.

Otherwise, there is a very interesting video of IGN dating from E3 2002. This is a video about 30 seconds showing the Outset Island. I see quite a difference, not specifically for the island, but the arrangement of characters and objects. But the thing that speaks directly, it is the music!

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker GameCube Gameplay - A

There are other short videos and the like that are very interesting too.

Ohhhh, now I understand what ya mean. Okay that makes much more sense...but yeah..

Did they even have half the secrets made up? They had to have changed them around atleast 5 or so times, cause I can see a few tile mishaps in some of the places where there was a hidden place...though I haven't played it in ages so I don't really know if I could find them again or not...
