Ok, i've started this because i've seen a few people ask questions about making/applying .PPF Patches, and people might not want to answer the same questions over and over again.

If you wish to make a ppf patch download PPF Studio HERE.
(ignore that it says halo 2)

Open an EXTENDED but UNEDITED rom in the "original file" and your extended MODIFIED rom in the "patched file" and click create. Make sure you have browsed for the destination folder and type your file name for it in the box near the bottom. (add ".ppf" at the end of the file name)
(The progress bar at the bottom wont disappear when its finished, it will just stay full)

If you want to apply a PPF you'll need to download PPF-o-Matic HERE
(again ignore "halo 2")

Open an UNEDITED but EXTENDED rom in "ISO File" and the downloaded hack patch in "patch". Click apply and you're done!

Any other questions, just ask.

Is it normal for the ppf patch to sometimes be 0 bytes(nothing) and still be able to patch a rom without a problem?

That's just Windows acting funny. You can ignore it.

Here's my patch of my texture hack Super Mario 64: Opposite Colors Edition. It's been done for a while, but I never actually got around to making a patch.

Not really a new idea. Still it looks nice.
But why did you double post exactly the same thing
in here as in the the "post your SM64 mods here" thread?

So people wouldn't miss it.
And I started this when it was kind of a new idea.. About a week or so after TT64 was released. And some people started asking for a patch, so there you go.

When i created this thread it was for PPF help not mods, lol. I should of thought of that when i typed the subject. (If this could be renamed slightly by a mod that would help against any confusion, thanks)
But still, nice looking hack.

The reason the rom file isn't visible at first is because "PPF" is the Playstation Patch Format" so the file browser is looking for CD Images and not other files.
When the browse menu appears after clicking the little save/floppy disk you'll need to click the drop open box near the bottom of the window and select "All Files" rather than "CD Images". Locate the rom file and open it.
Same with the PPF Patch bit but you only need to find it (no need to change the drop open box).

Ebeb, can you post the RGB values you used for each of Mario's colors? I inverted your screenshots and actually like the colors after they were inverted back. Mario's darker and a bit shinier.
