Yea, its still around. I haven't been paying much attention to the JCS for a few months now.

Or other areas for that matter

I keep an eye on the JCS but I'm not concerned about ranking every day. I post mostly from work and then I'm busy with the wife and kids at home that I don't remember to post much before the cutoff.

Yeah. These days, I don't really bother with it, though I guess it's nice to have for statistical purposes.

My target is usually overall post count rather than the JCS, so you'll just see me win one or two days at random and then not the other ones.

I don't even fully understand the JCS, myself, because I am a dumb.

So naturally I don't really care about it.

Well it's pretty simple: top posters of each day are rewarded points, like if they were racecars.

The points are tallied between days. Highest points win.

W, why would you even go into that analogy

That's so... Random?

He didn't say like in mario kart, he said like if they were racecars. So I thought real life car racing first.

Well, whenever I watch a real-life car race, I always think "why aren't there any items here? dammit I wanted to see Koopa shells and super stars and lightning bolts".

In most racing series, only the top 3-5 (sometimes 10) finishers receive end of race points. There are other points earned during the race, from leading laps, etc. But in general only the top racers receive points at the finish line. It's a perfectly acceptable analogy.

Also, Aux, when there are 400 or more posts during the JCS day then it's considered a "bonus day" and the top 10 posters receive points instead of just the top 5.

I have wide and sometimes strange reference pools, so my analogies can be a bit unusual if you don't know the source material. :p

I was away all day since it was my birthday, of course, I foresaw this so I decided to do my spree yesterday leading up to my birthday at midnight than on my actual birthday.

And now, I disappear, for I'm going to Chicago tomorrow and I'm not sure how often I'll be able to post while I'm there. Then when I come back, classes will start and I will also start my job so my amount of free time will shrink and I'll probably be reduced to ~3 posts a day again

That whole bonus day thing is kind of interesting. It's nice to see a new mechanic now and again.

I think entirely in terms of competitive games, don't I

Well, I think of things in terms of car races, programming, and fist fights, so it isn't that terrible a worldview.

Yes. Repeatedly.

As a child bullies would attack me. Eventually I went nuts and began attacking them instead.

I would have to fight these stupidly unfair battles, like five bullies vs. me. It didn't help that I was built like pre-powered up Captain America--all bones and flesh with no muscle.

I'd have to beat people with my backpack, with zippers, kick them in the groin, and just go nuts and shove them into the ground.

I later then moved into Kickboxing and fought people in there. Again, being built like a wraith didn't do me well. Got into a tournament, which was only good for some huge person to punch me in the stomach like a freight train.

I also figured out how to slip out of handcuffs. I don't think I can quite do that now, but maybe.

In any case I've been in a lot of fist fights and I know how to kickbox, and also some karate (I took a class in that later.) So I tend to use fighting metaphors.

For further advice on how to make your pages accessible
see http://www.w3.org/WAI/GL.
You are recommended to use CSS to specify the font and
properties such as its size and color. This will reduce
the size of HTML files and make them easier to maintain
compared with using <FONT> elements.

You are recommended to use CSS to control line wrapping.
Use "white-space: nowrap" to inhibit wrapping in place
of inserting <NOBR>...</NOBR> into the markup.
