Originally found on Nico Nico Douga titled, ファミマガ Ｖｉｄｅｏ 【 1989年 ５月号 （２／２）】 (literally Famimaga Video May 1989), I stumbled upon this interesting Mother 1 footage while searching for media on Mother 3. Same as the Super Mario Bros. 3 footage.
The video shows the various differences of this pre-release version to the final version that my annotations go over. While there isn't anything hugely major to show, the path from Ninten's house looks to be mirrored, some game menu details are different, and the O on 0:07 is at the lower right corner of the title screen!
Once again, as these 80's Japanese game videos are from a completely different, simpler era, there barely exists any pre-release footage of MOTHER 1, let alone the Mother/EarthBound series in general. Just like the Mario 3 video I shared to you last month, it teaches us the development stages of a game before it gets published too. It's not subbed, so it could use a quick translation from someone who knows Japanese. =)

How do you manage to copy videos from Nico video? I have a hell of a time trying. It always cuts off a few minutes into the download. I can't seem to trick it either

I locate the video in Opera's cache before it finishes loading, wait for it to finish loading, right-click on the link, and save the file. |

Interesting. I'm surprised this still exists! =P Hardly any media existed or survived from this time... XD Heck, I'd kill for prerelease Chrono Trigger screenshots.
