Debug Mode
On the title screen, press UP, LEFT, A, B, DOWN, RIGHT, L, R, UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, X, Y, SELECT, B. If done correctly, you will hear a sound. Start the game normally, and press select when you gain control of your character to enter the Debug Mode. (not sure who discovered this cheat code)

I am trying to figure out all that this debug menu has to offer so I can document it. There's alot that I can't figure out on my own. If anybody has any more info pertaining to this (or better descripitions/understanding/corrections) would you please post it here as well.

Here's what I was able to figure out:
7E054401-enables debug mode. When you have controll of your character, press select to bring up the debug menu

When the debug menu appears, here are the options:

Music-Music select. Numbered from 0-48. Left/Right to change number. A button to play song.

Sound-Stereo or Mono. Use the A button to change

Play mode-Numbered from 1-2. Use Left/Right to change. (1st or 2nd playthru?)

Fade Time-Numbered from 0-255. Use Left/Right to change.(not sure what it does)

Stop- Using the A button stops the music that's playing and resets the music number to 0.

Pose-Use the A button to turn it off or on (not sure what it does)

S.E.-Sound Effects. Use the A button to play, Left/Right to change the number. Numbered from 0-255

S.E. HO-Use Left/Right to change. The options are FLONT, RIGHT, LEFT, BACK(not sure what it does)

Fly-Use Left/Right to change numbers. Numbered from 0-30. (not sure what it does)

Speed-Numbered from 0-2. Use Left/Right to change(not sure what it does)

Map-Displays your current map coordinates. Pressing A on map option brings up the map debug menu which has alot more options
-Map No (change and exit with B button to go to different maps)
-Map Disp (not sure)
-Map Name (name of map)
-Text No (not entirely sure)
-Obj Plt 1 (not sure)
-Obj Plt 2 (not sure)
-Obj Plt 3 (not sure)
-Obj Plt 4 (not sure)
-Obj Chp 1 (not sure)
-Obj Chp 2 (not sure)
-Obj Chp 3 (not sure)
-Obj Chp 4 (not sure)
-Grd X (X coordinate) Numbered from 0-511
-Grd Y (Y coordinate) Numbered from 0-511

Text- not sure
Grd ofs X- current X coordinates
Grd ofs Y- current Y coordinates
Battle- Use Left/Right to turn random battles on and off

Flag Event-Displays current event. Push A button to display a Flag Event menu. The 1st 5 selections are numbered from 0-255. Each number has an off/on flag which can be toggled using the A button.
-SYS
-BOX
-PEP
-OPEN
-MON

The last selection is advise that she gives you when you're on a map and push the Y button.
Consult-This one is also numbered 0-255

B button-used to exit any menu
R button-hold the R button while using the D-pad to walk thru walls
Start button-It seems to display numbers pertaining to palettes. Use Left/Right to highlight the R, G, B columns. The Left/Right buttons are used to change the numbers in the columns. Pressing Up/Down changes where the change takes place I think.

That's all I could figure out for now. I was hoping to discover a start with all items
