Welcome to the second game of nomic, this time around it will be played a bit differently. The goal of the game is still the same: Whatever you make it out to be. And how you play is still the same: By changing the rules. This time around though, there is more gameplay and more tactic work that can be done! The game have five worlds now, depending on what world you're on you can impact the game in different ways. The questions you received at the start not only gave you your starting point sum, it also gave you your starting world. But let's start with the base rules, which are the ones you start off with! ------- Permanent: 1. Rules that are made permanent can't be changed, removed or transmuted. 2. Rules that are in the tier below permanent can be voted to be added as permanent; in order to pass there needs to be a clear majority. Each player gets one vote when voting for this. 3. The game will end the first of June this year. Immutable: 1.Immutable rules needs to be transmuted to mutable before they can be changed or removed. 2. Players take turns in order of the list, descending. 3. The player or the alliance with the highest score at the end of the game wins. 4. If two players forge an alliance they pool their points, but have to vote as one. 5. Players vote with their current score to decided of new rules are added, or current rules changed/removed. Mutable: 1. In the case of a tie, a die roll will determine the outcome. 2. It costs two points to make, join or leave an alliance. ------- Now that the base starting rules are out of the way, let's talk about what players can do each turn. You have the option of making any one of these moves, but they all take one turn: 1. Suggest a rule, rule change or a transmute. 2. Join, leave or create an alliance. 3. Pass (This happens if you fail the 24h time limit.) 4. Change world. I guess you're just dying to learn about this whole world aspect by now, huh? Well, let's get into it: ![]() There are five worlds, depending on what world you're in your passive abilities change. Counter clockwise they are: Nedara - The shadow When on this world you can PM me your votes for other players suggestions, hiding how you vote, however, doing so costs 2 points, they will be removed from your score at the end of the game. You get points based on a basic die roll here. Varaa - The fire You don't get any points when on this world passively, each turn, however, you can pick any player you wish for and you will take points from them based on a d3 roll. (1-3) Vorani - The balance This is the most simple and basic one. No special rules whatsoever. Each turn you're on this world you get a set number of points based on a basic die roll. Undra - The infinity When on this world, your score is doubled when it comes to voting, but each time you vote it costs one point, for every vote you pass you get one point. For every turn you pass you get two points. No passive bonus. Zevra - The void Each turn spent on this world drains points based on a d3 roll. (1-3) You may also not make any new rule suggestions, rule changes or transmutes. But each turn, beside your other move, you may take or give points to any player based on a d10 roll, if there are more then one player here it will be a d6 instead. ---- And while you can't change how the worlds work, you can still, by tweaking the main rules, make what they do pretty much useless, or, make them have even greater impact on the game. I also have some predetermined "random" events that may or may not change how the world aspect works. They will happen after a set number of rounds, but as rounds are not what counts for when looking at when the game will end, we will see how many will show up. ![]() So, here is the scoring and starting world: 1. Sanky - 4 - Undra - The infinity 2. The Red Snifit - 4 - Undra - The infinity 3. Girlydragon - 6 - Varaa - The fire 4. Imajin - 4 - Vorani - The balance 5. Arp1033 - 4 - Nedara - The shadow 6. CB - 10 - Nedara - The shadow ------- Which means there is at least one player starting on every world other then the void! =) I guess I'm not sure if this is they way you guys had in mind that I would take the game, but I still wanted to try and add some more gameplay elements, and this was one of the two ideas I had. To clarify a bit more on the alliance part though, you pool points as you vote, and get the voting bonuses of two worlds if you're on different worlds, but not on the same. Which means you can tactically use your point pool more, but you also have to agree with the other player when voting. When making an alliance with another player, I prefer if you don't talk about such things in this topic other then when making your moves; this is to avoid confusion. Well then, good luck! ----- First up: Sanky ----- ____________________ |
