I actually haven't had any glitches yet... Beat the game, and currently need four more pieces of heart and about 21 maiamas~ This is definitely a game I'd learn to speedrun 100%, it's so fun~

Well that youtube app for the 3DS has been released. I've screwed around with it a little and it seems mostly functional. Signing in was a wee bit buggy but it otherwise looks good. Hopefully it stays that way if I screw around with it more.

First question: to make a comment or to upload a video do you need a Google+ Account?

I don't have the possibility to use it now for some reason (read: unusable wireless connection which my dad has accidentaly forgot its password, therefore rendering it useless unless I stop being lazy and call Telecom to reset the password. Wall of text absolutely not intentional. ).

Uh... I'm not sure you can comment to begin with, regardless what type of account you have. It could also be the case that I just haven't found out how to do it. Can't seem to find any way to upload a video either. It would be kind of cool if you could upload videos you take from the 3DS camera but I'm not holding my breath. Honestly, I would be more concerned about ironing out some of the bugs in the app. I've had it crash a few times and another random bug. It has potential though.

I HAVE ALREADY TRIED

In reality this thing is made worse by three things:

- The password isn't "standard", unlike later passwords (read: every password after this one)
- It wasn't written in the "password" book
- I'm always lazy to call Telecom

Unrelated, this also affects the iPad, as I can't connect it to the wireless network.

I used it to try to watch three videos. First loaded fine, second crashed it. Reload second, works fine except it doesn't support the 3D!

I hope at some point they support the 3D! Both viewing and uploading. You know, after the bugfixes, because those are a little more important.

Considering that there are 3D videos on YT and the 3DS supports 3D, it seems like a no brainer. Of course, I would put priority to the bug fixes first, as you say.

Even if YT doesn't specifically support stereoscopic 3D at the moment, it shouldn't be too difficult to implement it on the 3DS. I mean, 3D is 3D. Its about creating two slightly different pictures (one for each eye). Once you have two images, which YT can do because there are 3D videos on YT, you are all set.

I can guess they might try this one. The 3DS can already view 3D videos, so what could possibly go wrong if Youtube tries that?

Anyway...

Known-Fact: There are some "3D videos" on Youtube already... too bad they require 3D glasses (see VB Wario Land TAS). They also offer you to disable the 3D effect (nice for VB games, so you don't get eye strain ).

How much would it take to "convert" them to use the 3D effects of the 3DS?

Are you talking about trying to see 3D effects from a YT video? It *might* be possible to download the 3D version of a YT video. If you download it in the right format then it should be easy to throw it on an SD card and watch it from the 3DS camera app. There could be other ways of doing it but that seems like the easiest thing to do if possible.

Youtube actually provides two separate videos (presumably reduced-resolution and combined into one file somehow) and the player converts it to whichever 3D setting you've chosen while it plays. Check out the advanced options; they're pretty interesting. "Interleaved" in "column" mode is how the 3DS screen operates.

If you just want to watch 3D videos, you can use ffmpeg to convert them to the Camera app's format. (Motion JPEG with ADPCM. )

Hey.. I didn't realize that. Youtube has updated their 3D capabilities on videos! It's actually been an year or so since the last time I have seen a 3D Video on Youtube, so I knew I could have risked missing something.
Unrelated, I may even find an option that may work with my "grey" 3D glasses now (along with the other Red-Cyan ones).

I got the hard part done, but now I need to get the easy part done. I need to load the video file onto the SD card to see if it works. But my USB SD card readers were cheap pieces of shit the broke easy. So the only way to get it on is a laptop that belongs to a friend of mine. It has Windows and viruses and goes slow and stuff, so I have to make a ubuntu usb flash drive, just to use the laptops built in SD card reader.

Unless there's any other way someone can think of (you can't straight download it, can you?)
