I knew about holding start and select to make the picture better while sacrificing size (majorly), although I meant that it would have been good if the picture could be both big and crisp at the same time. Thanks though.

Also, the 3DS resolution has been known for a long time.

256x192 just doesn't upscale to 400×240.

The 3DS would need to be at least 512x384. It's not, so it can't stretch nicely.

I hear sleep mode is activated via magnets. Stick one type of DS on top of another and you might be getting one of those magnets next to the... whatever senses the magnet.

Also, for the ones wondering about the spinning when in a car or with a stylus or such, I don't own a 3DS but I've repeatedly heard that's a little easter egg that happens when you blow into the microphone. I assume the car thing and stylus pushing make enough noise internally to cause it.

I'm pretty sure that's the reason. I hear the same thing happens with the normal DS and GBA SP... but nobody bothered to try.

3DS is not up to par with Apple products

He is a hardcore gamer that grew up with Halo and thinks the faults with 3DS are with the price compared to iPhone and iTouch, cartridges instead of downloadable games, and a stylus.

Um... can they like, get someone who knows what they talk about to review it instead?

I mean, some of the points he brings up are valid, like the battery time and the price tag. (Though, comparing it to the iPhone is rather fail, since it's only cheaper if you sign up for a phone subscription on the same time I believe.)

The only game where I actually use the stylus for the DS is for Starfox DS. Because it's required. All other games I use buttons if available because it's just more inherent.\

Well there's your first problem. Not knocking Halo, but if that's your intro point, then you're missing out on a lot of prior innovation.

Also my collection of 6 DS games is very unforgivable guys.

Pokemon Ranger games require the stylus for its core gameplay element, but actual navigation controls could be either stylus OR control based depending on your preference. The stylus was still required for pretty much anything other than walking around and talking to people, though.

Also, how bad do original DS games look on the 3DS? Like, is it possible to just view them in the same size as they already were? And when we say bad, are we talking like, Gameboy Color game + L button on a GBA bad?

They're just a bit fuzzy I guess. Also, you can disable the scaling so they're displayed as-is by holding start+select while loading a DS game.
