Why not?

Anyway Nintendo is giving random free videos, but they can remove them at the next update.. I personally don't have a problem with the removal of media like this. I can see the licensing agreement that will cause them to have to remove the video after a certain period. Now, if they ever remove a core function (sony...) then I'll be up in arms.

I didn't even know about this and since it won't affect me much, it doesn't bother me. I won't get a 3DS at launch, and I probably won't be getting it for quite a while ... I am in a very bad financial situation.

I don't know, I can see why that would be in a licensing agreement (most tend to be limited time). It's like, this kind of time-limited agreement has existed before (IIRC there are some old games that can't be re-released because the company doesn't have the rights anymore) but for it to to have the possibility of the affecting the consumer directly seems to be new.

Though to be honest, you'll probably be bored of the video by the time they delete it anyway.

I think this is more about the fact that they CAN go in and delete shit, kinda like, you know, what apple have done for their iBrand for a while. :/


Regardless, I'm not getting a 3DS until I see the system have a decent library of games. Not to mention the console does seam terrible over priced ATM. Which is kinda funny seeing as Nintendo knows that and just say, "yeah well, we got a monopoly on this sort of thing ATM, take it or leave it."


I'm sure I will get one later unless no games I want comes out though.

Right, but it's one thing to be able to, and another thing to do it. I mean, I can understand why they remove it in this case, but it's not very reassuring for the future. I know apple have gone in and remove things people payed to download via the appstore. :/

I'm probably the only one who wants to see a Smash Bros. game on this. Capcom managed to pull it off with SSFIV, so why not, right?

Anyways, I'll probably save for the 3DS when I can be able to. With college coming around the corner, I can't afford to waste any money on this anytime soon (especially with that $250 price tag).

I did fiddle around with a 3DS today at Best Buy for like 30 seconds, though. The 3D effects were kinda distracting, but the analog stick worked like a charm.

I'm gonna have to try this one out myself. The biggest thing that's putting me off is the battery life. Three hours is just...not enough to me. That and taking about that long to charge too?

I'm just gonna wait and get one later on down the road. The battery life needs to get better in a hurry.

I JUST picked mine up at Gamestop's midnight release (My roommate is a store manager). I was not at all thrilled with the idea originally. I have always said that "3D is bullshit." But I'm fucking converted. It is absolutely something that must be experienced.
