Two Different German dubs of Magia.

But yes... this anime is awesome, and I can't wait for next week.

Yes I have been insanely in love with the series since I first saw it. I believe I have talked about it in the general anime topic!

I wouldn't exactly mind a "non-deconstructing" version, but that's not something for a full length series. Some OVAs or extra episodes like that would be nice, tho.

As for the awesome "fuck you, Incubator" / "Morning Lescue" version, I'm not sure if it has just been delayed by one week, or if the next broadcast is still undecided. Anyone know?

Knowing who is writting, it'd be a deconstruction of an slice of life. Taking place after Madoka is dead or a witch and QB keeps recruiting other magical girls. ([trope=ShootTheShaggyDog]Implying that the show was merely routine for the later[/trope])

Well, I gathered from that article that Shinbo isn't thinking of Urobuchi as the writer here: "While he said that writer Gen Urobuchi's plot scenarios and story for the anime series are excellent, he thinks that the characters' personalities are also well-developed with Ume Aoki's designs and the voice cast's talent. Therefore, he wants to do an ordinary slice-of-life story with the characters instead."

But if it would be him writing the story again, then no thanks.

I finally got around to watching 11 and 12.

Spoiler:
I'd like Godoka to negate my watching of the last episode along with all of the witches. Goddamn that was tacked-on as fuck. It hardly felt like a conclusion at all. D:

I also just finally got around to watching the last two episodes of the series.
Spoiler:
Honestly, I didn't mind the ending too much, it felt consistent with the series...

I liked the ending. I'll bump anyone who calls it a DEM. It was set up since episode four.

I may have said "Fuck you. Take that, QB" during episode 12.

I finally decided to sit down and watch this, and I'm willing to say that this is the best anime series I've ever seen. (Out of the 20 or so that I've ever really payed attention to, but still...)

Spoiler:
I liked the ending in that it was one of the few stories I can think of where somebody actually beats the system when given a wish with strings attached, but it still felt a little unsatisfactory. I suppose it's because it introduced a bunch of somewhat confusing concepts in a small timespan while sort of erasing the events of the series, the latter giving the feeling that none of what I watched "really" happened, which is always disappointing. (It could have been much worse in that regard, though.)

All things considered, though, I enjoyed the series immensely, and I can see myself watching it again in the future.

I just watched the final episode. I'm... kinda speechless.

If anything I'd say it's a little over the top... But that's exactly how I like it.

Spoiler:
Also sure, the whole thing is "Everything in every universe has a happy end and the whole existence is remade to take this into account forever" which is a Deux Ex Machina... but uh, duh? That's kinda the point of becoming a goddess. Also it isn't "what we watched didn't really happen". It both did and didn't happen.

I dunno, I just really enjoyed how it ended.

Also
Spoiler:
this is meduka, you must fight the demons
so homeru got her plasma bow and blew them up

So, stuff happened over the last few months. Everyone already knows, I assume, but still.

The anime's getting a US release courtesy of Aniplex USA, complete with an English dub even (tho I don't care about that part). And seeing how German publishers are useless, I suppose I'll be importing the US DVDs once they come out.

In addition, a PSP game has been announced a week or so ago. Puella Magi Madoka Magica Portable will be a Rougelike with (apparently) visual novel elements, as well as branching scenarios and such, and will be another game to tack "Portable" onto the main series title. The game will be released in Japan in March 2012.

(And my copies of the 3 Madoka manga have arrived today, but no one cares about that )

T - Not only the mahou shojo, but Kyubey is also involved in the story and there is also an option to adopt his point of view.
Huh? That'll be interesting.

Also Grief Syndrome from Comiket is good and you should play it. But everyone already has done that.

I found myself gasping in surprise at a lot of the twists that were in Madoka Magicka. Seriously, I was not expecting Mami to die, least of all in the beginning of the anime.

Also, I wanted to punt Kyuube SO many times.

Since this thread exists already: Madoka movies.

I didn't get a chance to see the first movie since I was back home in Amherst for March Break, but I got the chance to watch Movie 2 tonight. Surprisingly, the 15+ group of people in there were pretty quiet and kept in their own groups. No yelling of "WHO HOMU HERE?", no laughing at scenes with Kyubey, just general politeness.

Apparently they had posters and you had to ask for them... I didn't. I'm actually disappointed. When Movie 3 comes out, I'll ask though.

My girlfriend got to see both movies. I could have seen both movies when they were here in October, but it is long gone now.
