You're both wrong.

It's حمص بطحينة.

It sounds kinda like "hommus bit-tahayna".

(To resolve the argument: "houmous" is the British English spelling; "hummus" is the American English spelling.)

Mm-mm, حمص بطحينة is delicious. It's been a while since I had any, though. They go great with /c(ris|hi)ps/, too!

Oh yeah, I had sunny side up eggs, rice with furikake sprinkled on top and sautéed shiitake mushrooms and spinach. It was super good.

Hmm... I went to look in the dictionary to found out who was right in the hummus/houmous/¤¤¤¤¤¤ ¤¤¤ arguement an surprisingly the word isn't there!

I'm about to have a meal with fries/chips in.
Honestly, I'm British, and I don't understand why in other countries crisps are called "chips". Here in the UK fries are called "chips".

This seems extremely similar to what I eat very often. Are you by any chance Hispanic?

Today I had rice, beans, and fried chicken........... (I swear I did )

Very amazing store-brand Oreos (Which happen to be named "Creame-O's" IIRC. The wrapper is gone already, can't check).

Today I had chorizo with beans and bread ... it was fine; I'm not really a big fan of chorizo.

Yesterday though, I had refried beans with cheese and tortillas! That was really good!

Top round steaks are on sale at the local supermarket and I ended up getting two. I prepared the second for dinner tonight by searing it on medium-high heat and then put it in an oven at 275°F for about 24 minutes. It came out perfectly tender and juicy, which is pretty difficult to get from a cut of meat like this. Delicious.

Served with calrose rice and gravy.

I had rice, bacon and an omelet filled with diced shiitake mushrooms.

The last meal I cooked before that, though, was steak and eggs made with a cheap piece of ribeye from the local Vietnamese grocery store. I fried the ribeye on medium-high heat for six minutes—three each side—and that came out absolutely wonderful.

Spaghetti, lightly sautéed in butter with sliced shiitake mushrooms and spinach, topped with egg, sunny side down. Composed of literally all we have left in the fridge.

Right now I just ate a couple of eggs. Omelet style as always.

A few days ago I had some pizza at school, and pretty much this happened.

Rainbow Sugar Cookies

I baked these for a potluck and they were kinda overlooked because I think no one eats rainbow sugar cookies like this at a “cool mid-to-late-20-something year olds” potluck. They’re more about that one vegan salad or the artichoke dip or whatever. But lucky for me, I got to eat tons of cookies. I think I ate like 90% of them and, no, I didn’t get any crumbs on my Bass Weejuns, thankfully—there was a “no shoes” rule in place. #tweeproblems

Provençal Tempura Drumsticks

I’m sure you guys remember this recipe only this time I actually deep-fried them instead of baking them. Oh, that and I’m missing a ton of spices but I still made do. These little fellers were fried in all the soybean oil I had left in the house, which I was super happy to use up. The downside: it tasted like soybean oil and soybean oil has the flavor of dreck.

Other than that, it came out really good and there was much rejoicing because for once the circumstances were right to create properly cooked deep-fried chicken! I made eight, which is enough for two meals but we ate all of them anyway. Oh well.

Eating some delicious leftover chicken that comes with this amazing broth seasoning.

There was a party and it turns out that we were able to secure like more than a week's worth of it. Oh and not to mention we also have like 40 or so sandwiches that we also will eat over time (the meat and bread being separated to prevent it from molding too fast). We made out like bandits. haha

Breakfast hotpocket.

I've been trying to find holes on when to eat while in Seattle. Found this awesome deli near PAX that was just awesome, so we ate there a few times. There's a sushi place right next door that I managed to eat at. Place was placed most of the time.

Two eggs and some mayonnaise.

Simple as that, but really yummy.
