Some cookies labeled "SPEKULATIUS," with a little dot over the "I" which may or may not be intentional. They're from my big box of German tasty goodies I got for Christmas

Already?

Businesses seem to be running on a calendar that's offset by several months I've seen Valentine's Day stuff for a while in stores around here.

Oh, there's more Valentine's Day stuff than Easter stuff, but some of it's on shelves already. It'll completely take over by February 16th. You know, you need one day of clearance sales for the Valentine's chocolate.

On that note, it'd be neat to try one of those Kinder Surprise eggs, but apparently they're weapons of mass destruction which are forbidden in the US.

Even to adults like me who are quite obviously smart enough not to die choking on the delicious toy inside. XP

Makes me wonder how many people unfamiliar with fortune cookies try to eat the whole thing, including the fortune.

Fortune cookies taste awesome. Now if only the fortune wasn't completely vague as hell.

That's how that stuff works. Like phone psychics. They'll say really vague stuff and you'll make the connection to your life yourself.

All three of those are fine but I'm having a problem picturing ham and cream cheese together in one's mouth. Doesn't sound too appetizing to me...

You'd be surprised! .. Maybe. ;p

I personally love it. My mom used to make these appetizer things that were basically a (thin, coldcut) slice of ham spread with cream cheese, with either a pickle or a carrot rolled up in it, and the sliced into little pieces less than an inch thick. I was just.. too lazy to put the carrot in the roll and cut it up, so I ate them separately. We didn't have any dill pickles, or I would have had those.

I'm going to be eating liquid stuff for the next few days. ! But! I am eating cranberry-raspberry jell-O right now, so it's hard to complain. ;D

A tiny bag of chewy oatmeal cinnamon cookies.

Oh, and 3 normal-sized chocolate cookies with white and milk chocolate chips.

...Cranberry Jello? I am intrigued.
