I haven't been eating well recently...mostly just junk food and quick snacks.

yeah, the place where it's at doesn't have nearly enough room for them to bake em fresh there
im pretty sure they truck them up from the closest krispy kreme that has baking facilities,
which is on the edge of evergreen park, around 15 miles south of the loop
so it's like, yeah, it's not *fresh* fresh, but it's not like they're stale either

β We got folded into a mass dinner order at someone's workplace yesterday for Reasons, and they suggested ordering the spicy boiled beef if we liked spicy food. So we did and it was Deliciously Spicy and Predatory. :-9

α And a nice rice bowl! ^..^ Though pouring the rice in with the liquid so that it got too separated and then trying to eat it with only chopsticks was a bit silly, since the bowl wasn't the right shape for us to know how to do the “scoop into your mouth” thing at the end…
