I still see reruns of the old commercial sometimes while watching local channels for stuff.

Sometimes I'd see it on the cartoon channels. But not recently since Comcast decided to go LOL on us.

I don't think it's been shown on TV in quite a while, as far as I know.

I don't think I have seen this in at least 10 years. Which makes me sad, incidentally.

You can probably find the actual videos on YouTube, or something, as well as probably an unbelievable amount of other stuff, related to trains, which is likely to be more up to date.

Comcast sucks.

I'm honestly hoping that they get too big from the NBC merger and end up going bankrupt as a result of it

How would that happen? The way things are, a company can more or less grow unbounded until there's just no more wealth to soak up. There is no" too big".

Ew @ Serious Inc., if only because it is filled with dicks.

The commercial is funny as hell, though. So...unrelentingly strange.

Eh, mega-mergers do end up going horribly wrong sometimes. (For example, AOL Time Warner)

I just wish both those things ever became tangentially related.

Also, protips for those not in with this: Serious Inc., is kind of like board2, from what I've heard. Except filled with dicks and/or trolls. At least their new iteration of their board seems inactive.

That's more mismanagement, I'd think. AOL already had a pretty bad downhill momentum, due to poor business, and it probably continued on after Time Warner sucked them in. They likely didn't think about the future or made any useful plans and continued doing whatever they were doing, probably because it was cheaper at the time to do what they were doing, but they bet too low and fucked themselves over with it.

On topic about the commercial, I can't recall if I was terribly interested in it. I suppose to some extent, since that kind of technical stuff interests me, but I'm more obsessed with computers and electronics than large machines, like trains. I probably had thought about wanting it, but people I lived with were cheap, and buying stuff on TV is a bit funky, even then.
