I've never seen Pocky on sale in any other store besides anime/comic shops.

Same here. I've only bought it the time I went to an anime convention and I felt like it was something I should try...

The coconut and chocolate type is very good, though.

the one I go to (I got a membership card so I can get a 10% discount or however the heck those things work) in LA is a little on the pricey side, especially for things like produce (GIANT CARROTS) and meat. I usually only shop there for special ingredients like mirin and what not that I couldn't pick up in the asian section of a regular store. Okay, and Pie no Mi, but in my defense they are amazing

I have never tried Pocky, but there is a Chinese/Korean/Japanese pastry store downtown in one of the subway stations. I've passed by it a few times and Pocky is in the store window. (Along with some tasty pastries that I must sample sometime, even if I don't know what they exactly are.)

I love pocky, but there are other Japanese snack foods that I like even more. Rice crackers wrapped in nori are heavenly.
