I just started collecting different DOS games and playing them in DOSBox, so there are not that many obscure games that I have. On that note of DOS games, I saw a Leisure Suit Larry game at my local thrift store and then when I was checking out to buy the things that I wanted my total was $6.66. I will just say that my favorite DOS game is Monkey Island 2 and one weird PC game I have is Mario's Fundamentals.

"A horrible person". That's what it says. "A horrible person."

We weren't even testing for that.

Multi Racing Championship. It had three tracks in total. You can guess why it became a total failure.

There was this one 3D game that involved bumper cars and capture the flag. However, I never actually remembered the name of it. I'd recommend it if I could get my hands on it again and play it for myself.

We had bunches of obscure games. Some old Apogee titles, lots of pinball games, King's Quest series, a weird Pac-Man clone...

Civilization and SimCity don't count. They're too famous

Whenever I ask my dad about our family's first computers he mentions Crystal Caves, I think he liked that game a lot.

Speaking of Civilization, I saw the first one at the same thrift store. I loved this one PC game called Ignition, you could even drive a bus in that awesome racing game!

EDIT: I just remembered this awesome HotWheels game called Crash, where all you do is crash! It is the best HotWheels game evar!

I remember having a game called Hocus Pocus, I think it was by Apogee... you played as a wizard. Don't have it anymore, though...

Also, I recently downloaded Super ZZT and played through the included quest ("Monster Zoo")... I've never had a copy of the registered version of SZZT, though. (And I guess it never caught on in the editor community as much)

Hover? It comes on the Windows 95 CD.

I liked Megazeux back in the day, but that era has long gone, I think.

I remember Megazeux too... I even found the original Zeux at one point, but I couldn't even get it to run right on Windows 98 without crashing the whole computer...

Oh god this sounds like I game I had as a kid that was really funny but never remembered the name of.

As far as games goes, the first Jazz Jackrabbit game is awesome, though it would be easier to find the later released windows version then the DOS version.
Commander keen series is kick arse though, something you should get if you're into platforming.
Epic pinball (by epic, derp) is the best pinball game ever and no one can get me to change my mind about that. (Then again I'm not really that into pinball games.)

A good place to get old DOS and windows games is Abandonia, don't expect to find everything though.

*looks at shelf*

How about the DOS version of Lode Runner: The Legend Returns? Good version of the classic with a pretty advanced level editor.

TWO demos of that game are on this old CD I have that cataloged old DOS games. Both of the demos only had the Android level available to play. And I have the full game from a torrent download I have, but lol, not good at DOSbox.

Pinball-wise, my favourites were generally Psycho Pinball and Pinball Arcade (which is Pinball Dreams and Pimball Dreams 2 together).

I love Commander Keen, I used to play the fourth game on Win98 I think... I was pretty young, I wish my dad never put Red Hat on there, one day I was going to play Monkey Island 3 but then all I could bay was some gnome game. I was so sad.

On the mentioning of old PC games, there was one that I completely can't remember the name of, but it involved a first person/third person (it was switchable, if I remember correctly) futuristic flying game. The only thing I explicitly remember is a Cybermorph-esque voice saying "The main war is up to you." or something.

We had it for a while with our (then new) Pavilion back in '97, but then one day it just disappeared and I never played it again.
