Thanks again for translating all this.

Turns out that's the only kanji tile in the game! Considering how many tree-based hints there are, it's a pretty good choice.

Xenoblade Chronicles E3 2009 screenshot.

As far as I'm aware, no "common" NPCs refer to the player's character when speaking to them in the final game.

So I figured out what that weird hint, "From the left tower to to the right tower, move the lever to the top right in one go" means. It displays this message in the Japanese version and nothing in the English version.

I needed a few translations for the Paper Mario TCRF article. I just need the title of the highlighted items:
Image 1
Image 2
Image 3
Image 4
Image 5
Image 6
Image 7

For this one, I need the badge's title and the description translated:

That's all. Thanks in advance.

No data for map probably means that is doesn't have an out-of-battle name. You should try it in-battle, or look at the text data directly.

I don't know how to look at the raw text data, but I do know that it has no effect in-battle. It literally does nothing. :/

Either way, thanks for the translations Joe.

I don't think it's really needed, but I guess it wouldn't hurt.

I actually was checking that link earlier when I was checking the article's "To Do" list. I didn't read much, but, what I did read I wasn't able to understand, so...

I actually forgot to post one of the pictures here.

EDIT: And another one. Go figure.
Sorry for posting this much stuff so late, I'm mostly grabbing the descriptions from Mario Wiki (with credit) but sometimes they just derp and don't put the description there.

Turns out it can switch between two different character sets, which means a single translation table isn't enough. I managed to locate a good chunk of the main set (hiragana, katakana, punctuation) with some help from Youtube. I'll probably switch to actually modifying the ROM to see the rest of the character set.

I also found what appears to be a duplicate copy of the intro text. I might try dumping the whole script to see if I can figure out what it is.

Okay, so I wrote a program that dumps the whole script from all 3 ROMs and found out I made a typo in that item description. It should actually say this:

ノコジロウのたのまれもの - something Koopa Koot asked for

Now, back to filling out those character set tables.

I found this advert in Air Ranger: Rescue Helicopter for the PS2 (Tiled 16bpp raw image data starting at 0x190ed80 of CD.bin). I can't find an ISO of the JP version so I don't know if it's used at all. It could be since the game has a lesson mode where you can learn about helicopter flight mechanics - and the phone number googles to the aviation company named in the credits, so it'd fit at least.

What would the kanji on the back label of that Mega Man 64 proto cart say in English?
