| I can explain the six Kanji. They're beats. You can make your own stepcharts, and those were probably used instead of 1/8 of a beat, 1/16th of a beat, and so on. I'm going to have to fish out my DDR PS1 ISO files to compare these to DDR 4th. Also, that song image doesn't make sense... but I think it might have to do with importing DDR Edit Data from another version. So how do I romanize the guy's message? "Hai, minna chuumoku!!"? Thanks for the help! Edit: One question though. Joe, why are you using ã‚’ instead of ㊠in ãŠæ‰‹æœ¬ä¸? -------------------- ![]() |

Erm.
I was trying to say that your post is a pile of gibberish because you posted with the wrong character encoding. I need to stop posting so late at night. ![]() Change to Windows-1252, and try posting Japanese text again. It should work properly then. -------------------- |

Originally posted by Joe ... So you want me to use a non-standard, Windows-exclusive character encoding instead of Unicode to paste Japanese. Is that right? I thought it was already deprecated / people were told not to use it? And why do your posts have span language HTML containers in 'em? That's... weird. Though I just found out there's a reason for 'em, it's just odd. Is this a browser issue for you? And for the record, I have no problems seeing anyone's Japanese text on posts. *shrugs* --------------------

Well, okay...Firefox displays them properly on my desktop (Windows 7 64-bit), but not on my laptop (Windows XP).
![]() I'm running the same version on both computers, AFAIK...so why are they using different default encodings? -------------------- |

This one is kind of big, and I'd really just mostly like to know what the bigger text at the upper-left says and maybe a little of the other text if it's not a bother. I'd like to get SOME context on this, because I found this in Namco Museum Vol. 1, and this doesn't seem to be video game related at all. Namco Museum Vol. 1 has a mode where you can walk up and look at various exhibits with merchandise, and on some exhibits (like those with posters), you can prompt the game to load up a bigger picture and take a closer look. Inexplicably, the pages in the picture I posted is what shows when prompted to zoom in to the cover of a Pole Position strategy guide, and appears to be entirely unrelated. I have the feeling this is a leftover placeholder image, and I'd like to get some idea of what the picture is about.![]() |

There's some text in the Galaga graphics if you're inclined to translate it: ![]() Originally posted by RahanAkero I can totally see how it's related, now that you mention it. I wish they had made an effort to put it in context for the North American crowd, because it seemed really random since the player has to prompt to zoom in on the cover of a book, then suddenly they get cooking tips. |
