I'm surprised they didn't translate this. It would have been pretty easy.

I remember seeing pics of that story in the manual and was completely baffled as to how to get it to show up in the game, because I could tell it used sprites.

Thanks, you two!

I think I figured out why this was cut. The Japanese ROM is 1.25 MB. The North American and European releases are 1 MB. Think they didn't want to spring for a larger cart so they just cut out unessential material (like this, the unused courses, and debug text).

EDIT: The header info for both versions seems to confirm this.

This guy I know from Brawl tournaments needs help translating a 65% translation complete Game Boy game, Pokemon TCG2 (Pokémon Card GB2: Great Rocket-Dan Sanjō!) so that he can A) Play it and B) Let's Play it. He'll be hopefully dropping by if he finds this thread, which I know is for unused stuff translations but perhaps you can help him regardless?

My desire to do it will depend on how much there is to do, but I'll take a look, anyway! I just don't want to be stuck for months translating one thing... that's always a chore, unless you really love it for some reason.

EDIT: Also, starting from the middle of something is always a bitch, since whoever did the first part may or may not have done a good job, and you have to either follow their conventions, fix everything, or start from scratch again.

I'm not 100% sure about the translation status, but it's supposedly like 65-70% done. With a full transcript saved by mefredbob. Yea, any help would be awesome. It's taken a LONG time to get this far because we keep losing translators :/

Where would I find the transcript of the original text and the current translation? It doesn't seem to be anywhere on your forum or site, so I can't take a look.
