I recently started reading Real Life, which is a comic made in Adobe Illustrator. It looks good, and I'd like to get into it, considering the luck I have with sprite comics.

I was wondering if anybody had any tips for me before I dive into this? Anything that will make it not crap will help

Learn the keyboard shortcuts and commands, for one.

It'll certainly help with manipulating path nodes, for sure. Also, try to use only as little nodes as you can to create your shapes.
