The Hover Craft horn is the intro bit to the DKC2 song "Snakey Chantey". Dunno about the Turbo Ski but it's probably from another Rare game.

Yes, and as Shinx's post says, it's probably a glitch. It just loaded the Kong sounds instead of the honking and played that. It's like those videos where a game's song is played with another game's instruments, ya know?

... Maybe it could count as a bug? I dunno.

I wouldn't really consider it a bug if it's something that requires an Action Replay code in order to happen.

Cross posting from sonicretro.

I found some unused graphics in Castle of Illusion (Japanese version) but I'm unsure how to assemble the tiles and view them properly. There are two unused Nemesis archives in the entire ROM, one appears to contain a multicolored graphic that says "MICKEY MOUSE" while the other are maybe some mappings. Neither of these seem to be referenced by anything:




I also found what might be unused uncompressed Mickey sprites (used for cutscenes) in the following regions in the Japanese ROM:

1E35F to 1E3DE
1FE1F to 208DE

You can use the first palette line when the cutscene begins to view the tiles with the proper palette. The only reason I find them to be unused is because I went through the entire game three times for all difficulties with both Exodus and BizHawk and it never touched these regions once.

Also might not be graphical related, but there might be an unused Enigma archive around 29774 to 298F8 in the Japanese ROM. I haven't figured out what they're used for, but maybe mappings of some kind (level related maybe?).

Here's a link to the two decompressed Nemesis archives. I'm no good with assembling tiles by hand though. :\

About one of the DKC3 secret horns (specifically, the Hover Craft's), it can be heard when you unlock Krematoa after circling around those four stones as well.

I must say that the reusing of tiles in this logo was unexpectedly clever. If somebody's willing to start the puzzle from zero, the only clue I'm giving is that only two tiles had to be mirrored in order to fit. =P


Interestingly, the lettering here is based on the classic color cartoon title cards instead of the official modern logo:

Which, by the way, also shares similarities with the logo in Mickey Mousecapade, Mickey's Dangerous Chase and Mickey Mania (and I'm guessing any merchandise that said anything other than just "Mickey Mouse"), so those may have been made with a special font supplied by Disney:

After seeing some of the reused tiles here, I've been left thinking that the artist may have been using a program that actually allowed for mapping the sprites while drawing their art, and had each repeated/mirrored/flipped tile update in real time when one of its instances was being edited... but who knows.

Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection from the PSP has a hidden (albeit) unfinished 'Tekken Ball' mode ala the one in Tekken 3.

Uses the old Tekken 5 Waterfall stage.

Read this on the net sometime ago googling (few years at least). Could not find the site it was posted on. Worth a look I guess?

That image is indeed from Galaxy 2, or at the very least is of the same scene as it's nearly identical to the image that gets sent to the Wii Message Board when you first beat the last boss.



(sorry for the quality, I took it from a video as I don't have a SD Card reader to extract the actual picture from my console)
