Hacking ST thread on shoryuken got me into the mood to mess with ST and found Tournament Battle wasn't taken out.

My favorite development text has to be from the ST-V.

Not really Wiki worthy, but whatever. Someone posted an hour long video of Dinosaur Planet gameplay, including the first 18 minutes from Scales' airship through Warlock Mountain.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cOVBRJToVDY&feature=player_embedded

Sabre sounds like a girl, in the earlier parts of the video.

But, hey, if we can use this as hard proof to put some more content up on SFA's page.

It also shows Scales getting thrown off his ship instead of Krystal.

I also wonder if it started receiving a Gamecube conversion, regardless. Though the dialogue is present in the Gamecube file, there's never any subtitles shown in the N64 game, or even the letterboxing for them.

ETA: Pretty sure Sabre's girlie voice during field scenes is because he's using Krystal's, for whatever reason. The HUD also shows Krystal's head instead of Sabre's.

You'll also hear the line:

"I am Sabre, Royal Knight from the Planet Animus. I've come to take the Prince back to his ... home?"

Mirroring the line:

"I am Fox McCloud, Royal Knight of the Lylat System. I've come to take the Prince back to his ... home?"

around 46:28 in.

But there is some grammatical differences which suggest something larger than a copy and paste overdoing it. Eh, Wild Mass Guessing is always fun.

Also, some subtitles show up around 48:20, so nix that idea up there.

Didn't really want to post a topic about this, so I might as well post it here.

I think I found another unused map in Pokemon Black, besides the museum one someone else posted:

See how it uses the exact same textures as the unused museum map, so maybe they're connected somehow?

I would post a video on this, but I can't find a tool to do a file swap with this game.

Since I've done Clue so much in my Livestreams (The SNES version), I decided to dig around in it. I think this is unused. Someone wanna verify before I post it?

The text starts at 00005F55 in Transhexlation.

----

Egad! It could only have been me with ..in ...

You don't suppose it could have been.. with...in

Awright, I did it with ..in ...

I'd give odds it was.. with...in

You may think me mad, but it was.. with...in ...

I must be mad, but it was me.with ..in ...

In my view, it was ..with ..in ...

Between you and me, it had to be.. with...in ...

Confidentially, it was me with...in ...

You wanna know what I think? It was.. with...in ...

Confess, .,.you did it with...in ...

I confess..I did it with...in ...

If anybody ever asked me, I'd say it was.. with...in ...

Of course it was.. with...in ...

Not that it's any of your business, but I did it with...in ...

I haven't any proof, but I think it was.. with...in ...

----

These speculative bits could have been for suggestions, but the game seems to gloss suggestion text over with absolutely nothing.

I think I've found some other bits and pieces, but I'll figure it out later. They're mixed in with used text.

I found this in the OoT text dump, but can't quite pinpoint at where it is used, since it looks pretty unfamiliar to me. Anyone have an idea?

I think that's displayed when you try to play one of the minigames as an adult that you can only play as a child.

I want to say it's one of the ones in Lost Woods, but I'm not certain.

But that's kind of the issue; which games playable as a child are accessible as an adult? I don't know any. The Skull Kids in the Lost Woods attack you without saying anything. Then there's the Forest Stage, I went down there but you don't get any kind of message.

I don't have the game handy, so I can't check for myself, but I think it's what happens when you try to shoot the slingshot target in the Lost Woods as an adult.

If it isn't that, though, I can't think of anything else it could be.

Oh, cool. It looks like Capcom was hoping that the linked cabinet tournament setup concept would take off, given that both SSF2T and Darkstalkers seemingly had such modes planned. And thanks for referencing the hacking thread on SRK, I hadn't noticed it.

As I remember, if you just shoot the slingshot target as an adult, it wouldn't do anything. Just get an arrow stuck in the target.

That text string is really unfamiliar to me, though, and I'm having a hard time placing it. Trying to think of games you can play as an adult and as a kid... there really isn't any crossover, except Archery, and that game is moved from Hyrule Castle Town to Kakariko, using arrows in its stead.

Weird line...

Doing a quick Google search just brings it up on a couple of game scripts, and one Unfound Lines document hosted on an Angelfire site, which also lists "I'm a talking door!" Validity of that last one is thrown into question, though, because I'm pretty sure some of the lines he lists (I.E. You put a Big Poe in a bottle! Let’s sell it at the Ghost Shop! Something good might happen!) are used.

(It is amusing to read through that site and see how far we've come since the OMG BETA QUEST days. )

Link it anyway, please. I'd like to see how much of that is really unused.

It isn't that bad of an idea for the consumer at least 2 games for 1 credit from 8 people, but probably was a pain for the arcade operators.

Yeah, I took a quick look there is some graphics there to show it was planned but for Darkstalkers 1(Graphics for players 3 through 8). The thing who knows if it's completely gone. I didn't see text for the editors in Fighter's History Dynamite but they're still there.

There's some which is still used, but put in not often seen places. Others are documented, but there are a couple of unique ones on here.

Oh... sheesh. Do you know just what kind of gold mine you found there. That is... simply... amazing.

Seven pages? Wow. It's so much, I'll have to split it up, because I can't do everything at once. I'm going through all the lines to see where they're used.

No... That's not what I want... I want something inside a bottle... I didn't mean that thing...

Doesn't seem to be used. I tried selling him the Claim Check/Zelda's Letter but he just gives me the standard "sell me something with C" speech.

Oh, a darling little Fairy! I'll buy it for 25 Rupees! All sales final, OK?

After spending 10 minutes without success trying to sell him a Fairy, I can only conclude you can't, and that this string is unused.

The ending ones are already known to be unused, so there.

Do you want to continue fishing?

Yes
No

I can't in my life ever remember the fisherman asking that. Even after catching a fish, he doesn't ask you if you want to continue.

Did something happen to the Great Deku Tree?

Somehow, it seems that the air in the forest has changed.

Can't remember any of these. I went through the whole forest, and no Kokiri said that.

Mister, do you know a boy named Link? He left the forest and never came back...

I wonder if Link will ever return?

It would be awesome to be big like you, mister! I really want to be big like you! I want to be big and strong and beat up the Deku Scrubs, but... We Kokiri won't ever get bigger for the rest of our lives... What a bummer!

Saria hasn't come back yet... But I know she'll return someday...

Judging by their placement, these were supposed to appear before you beat Phantom Ganon... I haven't seen any Kokiri say these lines, though.

We'll all work together to protect the forest!

This, on the other hand, is for after the forest is back to normal. Can't remember that one at all.

You traded the Giant's Knife for the Biggoron's Sword! This blade was forged by a master smith and won't break!

This should appear when you have the Giant's Knife by the time you complete the fetch quest for the Biggoron's Sword... but I just tried it, and it definitely doesn't.

The record time of those who raced against me was: --Dampé the Gravekeeper

Hmm? Where could that even be? There is no sign like that anywhere. It's pretty much definitely unused.

Bazaar We have a little of everything!

Definitely unused. There is no sign that says that anywhere.

Oh, Mr. Hero! Thanks for all your hard work! Wah ha ha hah !!

There's a strange guy living in the Windmill. Have you already met him, Mr. Hero?

Lines for the guard in front of Death Mountain, but he never says any of these.

Sorry about that...OK, well...LET'S BOWL!

Hmm? Not familar to me. Nope.

I'm sorry, but you can't borrow this mask yet.

It seems like earlier, all masks were on display from the beginning, but you could only borrow the next one in-line. I know that in the final version, the masks only appear one at a time, so there is no chance for this line to appear (or did I miss something?).

Happy Mask Shop Now hiring part-time Apply during the day

Try to enter the shop at night and this appears. So nope, this is used.

Bombchu Bowling Alley You can experience the latest in Bomb technology!

Potion Shop We have the best quality potions!

Again, no sign anywhere says that.

The whole mask thing... sheesh. I am not going to speak to every NPC in Zelda world just to check if any of these are used or not. I'll leave that to some bored fellow with no life.

I sealed the entrance because I don't have much merchandise to sell. But you're quite a persistent customer, aren't you.

Huh. I don't think the Goron Shop salesman says that.

You know, I'm so grateful to you. When I have a kid, I will name it after you!

This makes a lot of sense, but... Darunia doesn't say that, and I don't think anyone else does.

You pick the Bomb Flowers with (A). Press (A) again to set it.

Unsure. Can't remember it.

Big problem! Everybody is gone! But I'll keep my business open!

A similar line is said by the Goron Shop salesman as an Adult, but not this one.

Goron Shop Mountaineering Supplies!

Again, no sign says that.

Link, what are you looking at?

Doesn't strike me as familiar at all.

The Desert Colossus's face...it sure looks evil!

Target the big statue in Spirit Temple and press C-Up. So there.

It looks like there is something up there on top of the platform!

In Jabu-Jabu's Belly, get Ruto to Zora's Sapphire, then drop her and target the Sapphire (it's difficult but possible) and call Navi. Then you will get this.

I can hear a voice from somewhere... It's saying: "Collect five silver Rupees..."

Must be from either the Bottom of the Well or the Shadow Temple. But I am utterly unable to pinpoint it anywhere.

If you want to ride that boat, be careful! It looks very old... Who knows when it might sink?

Doesn't strike me as familiar at all.

There is a door over here... Is there any way to get across?

This, on the other hand, is used in the Shadow Temple, after you ride the ship. There's a Navi spot that tells you this helpful information.

That red ice...it's so weird!

Unsure. Does it appear anywhere? I don't think so.

This statue...haven't we seen it somewhere before?

Apparently from the Fire Temple... but where? I am absolutely puzzled.

Gohma Egg When this egg hatches, a Gohma Larva will be born.

Can you guess where this is used? Yeah... totally pointless.

Gold Skulltula This is also known as a Spider of the Curse. If you defeat it, you'll get a token as proof!

This, on the other hand, is definitely unused. Gold Skulltulas cannot be Z-Targeted, so there's no chance for Navi to tell you this information.

Dead Hand's Hands If it grabs you, tap any button to escape!

Again, Dead Hand's Hands are not Z-Targetable, so you'll never get this tip.

Big Poe This Poe won't disappear even if you stare at it. It moves fast despite its size!

Almost sure this is used, so yeah.

Hey, Link! Look over here! Beyond this point you'll find Kakariko Village. Watch your step! Hoot hoo!

A similar message is said by the owl, but not this one.

Link! This way! Hoo hoo! I wonder what Saria is doing now? How about going back to the forest sometime?

Hmm? Where would that even be? I have absolutely no idea.

Wow, that's a lot! Of them, only the future Kokiri Forest lines seem similar, and even then I can't remember if those are the exact lines or not.

Are you sure? Because when I was mapping the game, that's how I found it in the (non-hacked) future version. Both doors open at the same time when you talk to the lone Goron. In fact, it wouldn't make much sense if the shop was wide open when the city was essentially locked down.

You have to gain the trust of the lone Goron, after which he tells you where all the Gorons went and the doors open.

What version are you using?
