I'm not entirely sure if this belongs here, but I can't think of any better place it put it. Inspired by Wind Waker, I'm making "figurines" out of the character models I collect in mapping Ocarina of Time. These low-poly Nintendo 64 models don't always look the best when given regular shading, but I'll try my best to get them looking presentable. The lighting in the scene is currently set up to imitate an art museum.

Update: As of August 24, 2012, this gallery is complete!

That's awesome. The spikey-haired Kokiri male and the Deku Tree look especially awesome.

Any chance you could grab the Majora's Mask Link as well? I'd like to see the two compared.

I might do a comparison in the future if I think about it, but I won't make a figurine with it for a very long time.



I'd also like to mention I'm also offering to make 3D rotation animations, like the one shown below, by request. I'll do any of the models already up in the gallery, except for the ones that take too long to render. The Deku Tree is one of those.

I take it you don't have access to Majora's Mask models then? Some of the masks would make pretty awesome figurines...

I'd like to see the Zora King on a model myself though, if we're dealing with OoT. I want to see if you'd have him sit on the base, or sit in the air, feet on the base

@Sam: Thanks. Maybe sometime I'll teach you some of the things I've learned.
@HH: I chose not to have a black background to show what it would look like without one, but I might as well add a white one next to it.


I'd also like to mention that I won't be able to fill spin requests until the same time I have a chance to rip new models, meaning 2-3 week gaps.

Over a month later, and the next batch of figures is ready. I had a lot of fun with the enemy models. I made a custom scene for Gohma, and I plan to do the same for the rest of the bosses, and possibly the sages as well.

Another batch of figures is ready, and this one is a doozy! Hyrule Castle Town's Market has doubled the number of figures I have. You can expect another boom in population (of a smaller size, thankfully) when I reach Kakariko Village.


Edit: A new rotating figure, because I like this one so much.

Oh my god I never noticed the mouth or nose either.

The amount of detail on your animated model just makes it worse.

Another sizeable batch of figures from the next dungeon, Jabu-Jabu's belly! I also added a figure I overlooked from Lon Lon Ranch at night, Guay. Those jellyfish took a lot of time to render, and I spent maybe an hour on Shabom...

WOAH! I love those! I'm personally a fan of Ocarina of Time, and looking at them in graphic like those, makes me notice on things I haven't noticed in-game.

Eeek, the nose and the mouth on the beamos makes it totally even more creepier!

And sorry, I'm only doing rotations of figures I already have, and I'm not planning on making a figure for each and every item Link can use, sorry. I might do each mask for Majora's Mask when I get there, though, so who knows.

After more than a month of nohing, here comes another batch of figures! A number of the monsters that appear in the Lost Woods after Ganondorf takes over are classic enemies in the series.


Also, as a note, I've temporarily removed the "Sage" series of special figures. I have plans for them.

That makes me realize, Deku Shrubs are probably much closer to the classic Octorocks than those octopuses.

Like, if you had one wander around shooting at you, it'd be basically a grass-type Octorock. It's a shame they insisted in diferentiating them though and settled with a completely different enemy, it'd be a pretty cool implication that one evolved into the other. (On the other hand, the Jabu Jabu midboss kinda makes that moot, but still)

Also I just realized you didn't include the tentacle enemy in Jabu Jabu. While I know it'd have been... "hard" to include as a figure, the set does feel incomplete without it.

The way I see it, it's not really an "enemy" or even a distinct creature, but just an extension of Barinade that was given "enemy" status so that players could lock on to and get Navi hints on. Believe me, I did consider it for a while. On a similar note, I also considered not including Shabom, since it's just a bubble. It having a name and being so common won out, though.
